Description

Got horses? You've got training problems! If you really want to find practical training solutions based on sound principles that will work as a roadmap to your equestrian work or hobby, this list is for you.
Art is our goal, science is our method, honesty is our spirit.

The basic, effective training of all horses for all disciplines seeks to achieve the same goals: a horse that is “WILLING to work, RESPONSIVE to the aids, ROUNDED in its topline, SYMETRICAL in its actions and responses, SELF-CARRYING & SELF PROPELLED and finally, as RELAXED as possible in function to the task at hand.

Natural and Classical Horsemanship, Competitive Riding, Equestrian. Art, all flow from each other & constitute the natural pyramid of equestrian knowledge. Dressage riders (both competitive & baroque), English & Western riders, N.H. adepts, jumpers & eventers, we all have the same training problems to resolve even if they seem to appear in different forms and are expressed in different 'languages'.

All serious students of the art of training can join this list, benefit from each other's experiences and learn to respect each other's contributions outside of a 'clique spirit' within this open minded, forum.

Animated by JP Giacomini, an int'l trainer, lecturer & author whose experience covers most disciplines & breeds of horses. He has coached successful int'l event, dressage & jumping riders & horses, studied classical riding in depth in France & Portugal, developed an holistic approach to equine health & integrated N.H. in his own method for many years. His current research has led him to develop a conditioning system for the relaxation of horses called ENDOTAPPING ("Relax Reflex Reward Technique"©1992) that appears destined to become the 21st century new training paradigm.
