The Ohio State University

Hello folks

Another job is available if anyone interested

Faculty Position inInsect Neuroscience

Department of Entomology

The Department of Entomology has an opening for an Assistant Professor to address molecular aspects of insect neuroscience. All fields of neuroscience will be considered. The department has a strong tradition in honey bee research and thus would especially welcome applicants interested in social insects. The potential for establishing a vigorous research program and excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels will be critical selection criteria. Research areas may include functional genomics, neurophysiology, neuroendocrinology, molecular genetics, learning, sensory perception, genome-based exploration of behavior, or examination of a wide range of behaviors associated with social insects. The faculty member will teach a course in their specialty and participate in the teaching of introductory biology. Flexible work options are available. Applicants should send a letter describing research and teaching interests and career goals, a detailed curriculum vita, recent reprints and manuscripts to:

David L. Denlinger,

Department of Entomology, The Ohio State University, 400 Aronoff Laboratory, 318 West 12th Avenue, Columbus, OH 43210-1242.

Applications will be accepted until January 31, 2008 or until a suitable applicant is selected.

To build a diverse workforce Ohio State encourages applications from individuals with disabilities, minorities, veterans, and women. EEO/AA employer
