Location:The Ohio State University/Ohio Agricultural Research

& Development Center (OARDC), Wooster, Ohio.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. degree in entomology, plant biology, or related field with emphasis on the molecular investigations of arthropod interactions with plants, microbes, or nematodes. Must document experience in conducting research and demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, ability to attract extramural funding, and desire to work in a team environment. Teaching and postdoctoral experience are desirable.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate is expected to develop a major research program in molecular biology emphasizing basic research with potential application to the plant-protection missions of our department and the OARDC. Specific molecular-based research could relate to regulation of insect-plant interactions, vectoring of plant pathogens, plant defense signaling, physiological/behavioral arthropod response to plants, as well as tritrophic interactions involving predators, parasitoids, and entomopathogenic microbes and nematodes.

Collaboration with other researchers is considered an essential element of this position, with numerous intra- and interdepartmental possibilities envisioned. This faculty member willdevelop and teach or team-teach a course in molecular methods and graduate seminar courses. As part of the expectation of developing a nationally recognized research program, the incumbent will attract extramural funding, participate in national and international scientific meetings, advise graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, instruct undergraduate and graduate students, and publish research results in leading peer-reviewed journals.

     I apologise to send this notice to everyone so late. The information is ready with us for which you have been waiting for so long. We will have AIENA meeting on 9th Dec at 7 p.m. We can all gather near Registration booth and then information about the exact venue will be provided to everyone. other state agencies, and health care providers in the
region, by providing technical expertise and
consultation in arthropod-borne disease surveillance,
prevention and applicable interpretation of research
activities. The incumbent will demonstrate strong
independent research within departmental policies and
procedures and coordinate and conduct all phases of
scientific investigations. The incumbent will
supervise the field and laboratory work conducted by
lower level regional research staff, entomological
assistants and/or students; determine geographic areas
for targeted research; supervise specimen collection,
identification and testing; and compile and publish
reports of the data collected. The selected candidate
will report to the program director in Albany and
maintain an academic link with Cornell University and
the University at Albany School of Public Health,
support the NYSDOH Tick Identification Service, and
