Subject: El Paso, TX Man Charged $8,500 For Rabies Vaccine
Hey everybody:
...........
If you are traveling to El Paso TX, don't forget to
pack your own rabies vaccine. It's a little pricey
down there if you wait until you really need it
before making a purchase.
.........
I can't really prove this but I have "reliable sources"
that have told me that the dog is not really a stray
but one of 5 or 6 mean dogs the hospital keeps on a
nearby farm to bite people on command when business
is slow. I have tried to confirm this with the dogs,
but so far they are refusing to talk without legal
counsel.
This is the highest fee I have ever seen for these
shots by a very wide margin.

I wonder how much they would charge if they were
trying to make a profit ?

EL PASO, Texas -- Larry Sutton said on December 23,
he was in Juarez when a stray dog bit him on the
leg breaking the skin. Sutton said nurses told him
he needed to start a series of rabies vaccinations
within 72 hours of the bite, and that only Thomason
Hospital had the serum on hand.
