When I started this business, I bought white homers from a bird trader
at $5 each. Their homing instinct was poor and I lost most of them.

Then I bought other "white homers" from a vendor at a farmers market at
$2 each. I put them in a holding hutch before allowing them to join my
birds. Within the next few the white birds I bought died and it was
sad. I was smart to quarantine them before letting them join my good
birds. It could have been much worse.

It is better to pay $20 or more for a good white homer that will go the
distance.
