I had a Shiba for just shy of 17 yrs. They are definitely a big dog in a
small dog body. Mine lived with 2 adult akitas. While he wasn't overtly dog
aggressive, he was certainly an instigator and would not back down from
anything. He was remarkably clean and easy to house train. He was very
dominant and he and I had many battles of wills. He was well behaved and
willing to please as far as training goes (on his terms).
He was a tough little guy that's for sure, I first held him when he was 3
weeks old and he died in my arms just shy of his 17th birthday. He was quite
the character. I do miss him.
