<<<<I am 25 and am still renting. And it does suck! I had a WONDERFUL cottage I
was renting on a beautiful lake when I got my keeter. Thought I was going to
stay there untill I bought a house. Well that didnt work out the way I planed!!

The owners put the house up for sale and sold it. It was hell trying to find
another place to rent with my now 100 pound Akita....But he was coming with.. No
doubt about that! Even made plans to live in my mothers camper in her back yard
so I could keep him. Didn't need to do that. Found a crappy place that accepted
dogs and here we are! Together!

My dog is like a child to me, and I would have done (and did) anything for us to
stay together....Renting IS unpredictable...but there are good people out there
that have no other choice, and will do anything to keep their four legged
friends. Just my two cents :)

Shannon I tend to agree w/Michael J on this one.... you may "think"
you are control of a situation with a landlord...but, (paraphrasing)
they don't last forever....things change for whatever reason....so
rentals are are alot riskier (I think anyway) than a homeowner for
many reasons...though granted nowadays there are HIGH mortgage
failure/repo rates in the US for a variety of reasons (layoffs,
illness, divorce, got in over their head on the payment cuz the
broker sold them a loan too high for them to handle etc etc etc
etc). If someone was renting from like their mother and could stay
forever..well (lol) that might be different! Renting is soooo
uncontrollable......it's just one of the things I hate about it (that
and you can't change a danged thing very often like landscape, make
it look nice etc)

Anyway.... those are my thoughts on renting after my experiences with
it and they've *always* made it hard w/a large dog but it's gotten
worse.

Have a good one!

Kris
