There are actually 2 yahoo groups devoted to Berger Picards. The main yahoo group is an international group that has an open membership located at http://yahoo.com/group/berger-picard/ That group is made up of breeders and owners from all over the world: Gary in France, Giorgio in Italy, Joan in Denmark, Ans in Holland, Chrisitan in Austria.

The American Berger Picard group is primarily for owners interested in starting a national club in the United States, so the membership is limited at this time to dues paying members. We are a subset of the other group with most folks being members of both groups. And any important news about Picards get sent to both groups.

The Berger Picard is a relatively new breed to the United States most owners have only had their dogs for a couple of years instead of the folks in Europe that had owned and bred them for decades. Consequently your questions will be answered better by the original group i.e. do picards suffer with bloat? We don't know; they do.
