needed donations to help pay the vet bill for the loss of " baby"  who
passed away on 3-27-08   ,  elvis is home , happy and healthy but i owe
500.00 on my vet bill still before i can even bring him back to get his
first shots ,he should be on his 2nd and 3 shots , i cannot get them
until i pay my bill and i desperatly need help , we have already paid
the vet 400.00 towards babys now thebalance is 500.00  , i have bill if
anybody needs too see it .(a woman gave us these 2 puppies ,australian
shepherds after 10 days the female pup was really sick , i took her to
the vet and she was diagnoised with parvo spent 6 days in hospital, &
passed away, then her brother elvis got sick so we rushed him to vet ,
where he stayed for 7 days and he struggled to lived , he is home now
and doing better, i have 4 kids & 3 other dogs , i just cant and dont
have any more money to spare at this time, i am doing all i can to feed
my family any help is greatly appreciated ..

Western Michigan's CritterCafeRescue-an ALL species NO kill rescue,
has a new larger facility. I have been working 16 plus hours a day-and
as many of those as I can put into fixing up the new facility after
the animals in my home are cared for and the
cages/waterbottles/meds/litters etc are done and cleaned and kissed
and treated the many HOUSE-bunnys, some of the cattys, rattys, hammys,
guineas, birds and degus here(ALL of the dogs/puppues, some of the
cats and kittens are in foster homes because there just is not the
room here)-
I have been putting hard work into the new place for this rescue to be
able to secure even more animal lives within the new place!!!That is
aside from the 8 surgeries done per week or more and adoptions and
listing of pets and new RESCUES!!!!
Here is my "pitch"...Please take it seriously. The results will be

We just acquired a building and are going forward to open a LOW COST SPAY

involved to push for bunnies to be fixed there at "clinic" and pay
"clinic" prices AS WELL AS the dog and cats!!! Bunnies are the 3rd most
frequent animal needing adoption and our shelters are FULL of them and not
equipped to handle them so they end up in chambers kicking and screaming
with cats and dogs and GASSED till death.I am trying to STOP the births of
so many that just end up this way and in the mean time CARE FOR THEM-VET
THEM-LOVE THEM until a forever home comes for them!!!!

I have some people wondering if I am a real rescue-I posted just a
very few of the pics from the Friday night-last nights- rescue of six
abused and neglected hamsters that had been housed together and have
severely beaten each other up because of their NOT being a social
species after sexual maturity....Along with SEVERE wounds on each one
they have the worst case of mites (some fleas too) I have ever seen.
The pictures, only 4, are graphic are of just one of these precious
little things that were over an hour's drive away.
Please be comforted knowing that each one of these babies has been
treated for mites/fleas, is gently and comfortably cleaned up and in
his own dwelling and being treated for possible infection and upper
respiratory secondary symptoms.They will be adoptable to hamster
knowledgeable people after several weeks here. God bless our pets-the
smallest and most innocent. If we dont speak up then there is no
protection for them!
I ask you, is it worth your dollar??? I ask for one dollar that we may
continue on what is sometimes DAILY rescues! Please see my last post.

I was one of the people who had questioned you.  In
this day of so many scams, one must be careful.

One thing that was a concern of mine was that
co-mingling of funds (rescue and personal) is a big
no-no when asking for donations, even when you're not
a c3.

Why would this be a concern?  Because I am interested
in donating by paypal.  If you don't have an account
with them for the rescue, you really should.  In the
world of online donations, I think it replaces the
credit card as an 'impulse' action.  Give me a paypal
address in an email, and I am likely to drop you $5 or
$10.

Add in that you are a c3 (or pending), and I am more
likely to increase that to $20 or $25.

Got a website?  I may return to it.  Who knows - I may
donate again.  If you have a raffle coming up, or need
an item donated, I may send you something from my pet
related business.

For all potential requestors.... the more information
the better - and please don't get offended when people
ask for more information.

I just got a puppy 2 weeks ago we live in va beach va, he is Golden
Retriver and looks like Lab mix. He is 9 weeks old now and I am hopeing
if you have anything laying around you can pass it on We are in need of
the following...

1. dog crate
2. dog house
3. leash (he has a collar)
4. brush i have been using one of our old combs
5. a baby or pet gate for the kitchen doorway (he chews up the whole
house when i leave)
6. puppy pads (we are getting house broken but not there yet)
7. chew toys (the kids have given him some old stuffed animals)

I also need advice on how to handle seasonal doggie dandruff I he
itches and his skin peels what should I do???

I have about 5 pounds of dog food.  A friend of mine breeds boxers.  When I got my pomeranian, she gave me a huge bag of science diet for adult dogs.  Unfortunately, my dog is smaller and the food is bigger.  I tried everything and he wont eat it.  I have bagged it in sealed 1 pound bags to maintain its freshness. Its funny-I no longer count as a "personal"or have "my own"ANYTHING!!!!
-I do NOTHING but eat, sleep, and breath animals...NOTHING and I mean
NOTHING!!!!!
(OH-I do go to church Sunday mornings)!!!
From the moment I wake in the morning till I fall asleep (ON THE COUCH
BECAUSE I GAVE UP MY BED/FOR the extra ROOM/ TO SAVE 2 BUNNYS' LIVES and
its been 2 more, 2 more, 2 more, after each 2 is adopted again)at night I
am working on cages, homechecks, vet runs, calls regarding all these and
rescues and tending to the many many beloved animals I have saved.This is
EVERYDAY, not just a day or two a week-EVERYDAY!!!I do not buy clothes,
makeup or extras. I do not go out to eat or "spend" on myself-NOT EVER!!
EVERYTHING I HAVE GOES TO THE ANIMALS!!! And I am happier than I have EVER
BEEN, it has given my life purpose-I feel better than I ever did!!Please

My oldest daughter just got her a newest addition to her family her
hubby works nights and she is always alone with the baby and they
really need a few things for the dog if anyone has anything they are
giving up she would love to take it off your hands she really needs...

I really could use dog food and some soft dog treats that i can put a pain pill in cause my Choc.Lab had a FHO Repair done on his hip last Wed. and he is on pain pills every 8 hours for pain and he has to stay the house for 21 days and after that he has to be crated when i leave and at night  for a total of 8 weeks. I'm really tight on money right now cause the FHO Repair cost me $730.00 and that has set me back for a good while.Also if anyone has any extra blankets i sure could use them for his crate to make it more comfortable for him to lay in.Thank You for taking the time to read my post.

Would anyone happen to know if the off brand heart worm pill for Tri-Heart Plus be just as good as the Tri-Heart Plus ? I'm asking cause the new Vet i go to say i can get a 12 month supply of off brand Tri-Heart Plus heart worm pills for my Choc.Lab for $60.00 and i have had him on Tri-Heart Plus since he was 8 weeks old.Any information anyone can off me on off brand heart worm pills will be great and a big help to me.I don't want my Choc.Lab getting heart worms cause i just spent out  alot of money on a FHO Repair on him last week,

Thank you all that will help with the many many animals here at the
CritterCafe-SO VERY MUCH!!!

  I am so excited to tell you that the new rescue place will have a "bunny"
door and closed in with screen, front porch so that the many many HOUSE
RABBITS can go in and out as they please and sun bathe or do acrobatics
or whatever they want-
when their enjoying their 4 hour "running" time out of their "rooms".
The vegetable garden will be VERY close to their safely enclosed porch so
they will be able to mingle with and see the "wild buns" that come to
forage from it-
THAT IN ITS OWN RIGHT is the coolest thing and I am so excited for the
bunnys here-present buns and the many to come!
The main floor in the home will be all the animals here-we still have to
have the many foster homes for some of the pets-Like some of the dogs that
are not bunny friendly.... my little "bungalow" will be in the basement
which will allow me to have some privacy BUT whats so great about all this
is we will and can invite volunteers to help with cages and socializing
and all the chores that I right now do from when I awaken in the morning
till I "fall out" on the couch at night I will have MUCH NEEDED help with
finally! We can have volunteers help with the vege' garden which will
allow the over $80.00 spent on fresh greens per week to go for(even more)
vet costs-
THAT will be a great help in and of itself certainly!!
And there is so many more things to give thanks about- the new place will
allow me to save SO MANY MORE ANIMALS!!!!!!!!!!!!
And we will be fixing them there too:))

The animals ARE my ministry niche and the rescue is doing so much for

PS.To those of you that emailed me wanting to know how the 6 little hammys
are doing....
we have NOT lost a ONE!!!!! Slowly all of their wounds are healing and the
mite stuff(Ivomec) worked WONDERS thankfully!!The antibiotics are taking
the awful infection away and the "stink" and "hi temp" they had from it no
longer exists(again, THANKFULLY). They are gonna be ok-of that I  am
finally SURE!!!:)) Thanks for asking  and CARING about them
and the
CRITTERCAFE Rescue.

Now the challenge is for 6 MORE (CUTE HAMSTER) NAMES-
There are 3 BOYS and 3 GIRLS:::)))!!!!!
