Hello all! Just a quick update on agility at nationals.
GAASC is making a donation to ARPH for supplying WORKERS FOR THE NATIONALS
AGILITY TRIAL. Because of Katrina and gas prices, a number of planned
volunteers will be unable to make it. This is leaving the trial short staffed.
We
realize that everyone is very busy nationals week, but a "donation" of an
hour or two of your time would be greatly appreciated. It will speed up the
trial and make everyone's day a lot more pleasant! WE DESPARATELY NEED WORKERS
FOR BOTH TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY! Please consider helping! It's for a good
cause!
Workers will receive refreshments and tickets to the workers raffle on
Thursday. GAASC is providing refreshments. We will have a small gift as well
for
each worker who commits to at least two hours. A couple paid positions are
also open (an admittedly modest sum and gift, but this IS a fundraiser for
rescue) for those who can work at least 1/2 day. If your spouse, parent,
child, friend, etc. is coming to the trial, PLEASE ASK THEM TO HELP. Most jobs
require no training and are a super way to learn about agility. Jump setting
and leash/scribe sheet running is a wonderful activity for kids! We will do
our best to schedule around your needs. The rescue aussies thank you!
There are still openings for the ARPH benefit agility trial on Thursday.
Premiums can be found here.

(
http://www.gaasc.org/2005ascanationals/Docs/ARPHPrem.pdf) Entries
can be sent to Ally and we will also be taking entries there if there are
still spots available. It should be a lot of fun! We have ribbon and gifts
for
HIT plus HS rescues. The price can't be beat, and all the proceeds go
straight back to rescue!
Thanks to lots of wonderful folks, we should be ok on workers for this
trial, but if you're available please contact Ally at
_Ally@..._
(mailto:
Ally@...) as backups will help the trial run smoothly and
quickly.
Workers will receive tickets to a workers raffle. Beverages and sandwiches
will be provided, the munchies will be a potluck. Donations for the raffle,
class sponsorships, and potluck are greatly appreciated. Thanks to all the
wonderful folks who have already contributed! Your help truly makes a
difference!

Unfortunately AOL doesn't care to forward all mail.
IF YOU PREVIOUSLY VOLUNTEERED (whether directly to me or through Kelli
Carter) AND HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED BY ME, PLEASE EMAIL ME AGAIN. I DID NOT
GET
YOUR EMAIL. I DO NOT KNOW YOU'RE WILLING TO WORK.
