**Featured Horse of the Month** is Aalayeh who was born with a wry nose, for her story go to www.beautysequinerescue.org
This list was created to keep people updated on the happenings of the rescue, share information on our fundraising efforts, publish Horse Angel updates, and many more topics.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in the state of Florida. Our purpose is to help as many of our equine friends as possible that are in need by networking with other rescue organizations and individuals. We also work to educate others about horse slaughter in an effort to make it illegal once and for all - not just in the U.S., but in Canada, Mexico, and other countries.
Please take time to browse our website and get to know us and the horses here. Horses at our farm come from loving surrenders from owners who can no longer provide for them, from auctions, kill buyers, brokers, or have been abandoned, etc. Some may come from caring owners that must depart with their beloved horse and want to make sure their horse finds a good home. At times we pay to get the horse out of its desperate situation and then pay to transport the horse to our rescue. This alone is costly. Many may have likely been neglected and/or abused and, once they are safely here, they are in need of vet, farrier, and dental care which is also costly, as well as lots of TLC, which is time-consuming.
We need volunteers to help provide loving care for the horses, and to assist with other activities around the rescue, such as typical barn work and farm work, and perhaps assist with office work - or to assist with organizing educational clinics, promotional efforts, etc.
List rules are basic common sense: Treat others as you want to be treated. Agree to disagree respectfully (no personal attacks, profanities, etc.).
It is list members who determine the success of a list. Remember, by working together we can help more horse
