This list is dedicated to providing opinions of AKC Boston Terrier judges (their likes/dislikes, ring procedure, etc.) as well as sharing helpful showing/handling tips. We also welcome input from judges on what they like/don't like to see.

The intent is to try give us all a bit of an advantage by knowing what a specific judge might be looking for or find unacceptable as well as to help us all become better exhibitors.

All who are willing to share honest and INFORMATIVE thoughts/comments are welcome to this list - long time exhibitors, judges, and novices alike. A very informative post would include what the judge looked for, how consistent the awards were, if he/she exhibited patience, etc. Vague descriptions (he was good, she was bad, he liked my dogs) are not really informative or helpful, so please put as much meaningful information in the post as possible.

This list IS moderated and only respectfully written posts (positive and negative feedback IS what we're looking for) will be approved. No catty remarks, no bragging, no litter announcements, no legislative/political announcements, etc. are allowed. There are plenty of other lists available for those.

This list was created so that exhibitors could openly and honestly share their experiences and opinions about the likes and dislikes of a judge. Differences of opinion, shared tactfully are welcome as we all have different opinions and we can learn from those; however, flaming/bashing/insulting will not be tolerated here.

Also, there will be NO FORWARDING (including no COPY/PASTE and then emailing...) of any post on this list. This is a PRIVATE FORUM and all posts are the property of this list alone and there are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule. Not even the author of the post is allowed to forward his/her own post. Forwarding will NOT be tolerated and if any member is found and proven to have forwarded a post, that member will be permanently banned.
