Here in the U.S. bearded dragons are the fastest growing pet sensation, now numbering in the millions. After dogs and cats, reptiles are the most popular pets. Since the Bearded Dragons are the favorite among lizards, that bearded dragons are THE THIRD MOST POPULAR PET in America. Beardies Anonymous is a self-help group, not for ending this beardie craze but for molding knowledgeable and responsible owners through experience and guidance. Book-smarts is important, but so is experience, we value both of these here. There are always things we can do to improve their lives while in our care. No matter how experienced we are at keeping them. Between our knowledge of bearded dragons and experience in keeping them we can better understand them and achieve our goals for them. With that said, we hope to attract people with different types of knowledge concerning bearded dragons and newbies with a hunger for knowledge. Accomplishing this, we will all be better beardie owners and will better conserve this magnificent species. Though the purpose of this group is to learn and teach the husbandry of these wonderful creatures, it isn't limited to only that.
