Welcome to the bloodhound recovery group.
Bloodhound Recovery is a place to post lost, stolen or found bloodhounds in the United States or Canada. After doing a search for a missing bloodhound a few years back, it came to my attention there is not one place on the internet, which bloodhound owners or rescue people can go and post their notice in the hope of the bloodhound being reunited with their family.
This group is public for that purpose:
1.) Found Bloodhounds
2.) Lost/Missing Bloodhounds
3.) Stolen Bloodhounds
Please post to this group the following information:
Name of bloodhound if missing/lost/stolen:
Name of the owner with location/state/zip:
Location of where the bloodhound went missing if different then your location:
How to contact you:
Gender of bloodhound (Male/Female):
Is the bloodhound intact or neutered/spayed:
Color (Liver/Tan, Red, Black/Tan):
Age:
Date found/lost/stolen:
Is your bloodhound micro-chipped or tattooed:
If the dog had on a collar, tags, etc.:
Markings/scars (any white on chest, toes, missing part of a toe, declaws, etc):
Any medical needs:
Additional comments:
Please attach a Picture of your missing bloodhound or the bloodhound you found:
Make sure you file a report with your local law enforcement agency of your missing or if you suspect your bloodhound has been stolen. Also contact in person your local shelters, neighbors, delivery persons, newspaper, regional bloodhound rescue group, etc. A good place to post is the local vet offices, gas stations, grocery stores, etc. of places most frequented by your area.
Also, please notify the group when you have been reunited with your bloodhound and also remove the postings you have put up in the area.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Thank you,
Ann
PS. Rest in peace Tuba. Our boy, Bleeker - Bacon or 2 bits wishing and sniffing for all the missing and stolen buddies are reunited with their family.
