Dear Badar
As a fancier, you are entitled to your opinion so never hesitate about contributing on this forum or sharing with others.
Whatever you like,i would advise you to read about that since it will help you a lot
furthermore
instead of saving info as betty files, nigel files
I will suggest that you save info in terms of topics.Make folders like genetics, breeding, disease and put the articles there with names of their contributors
this way if you need to check anything in a particular topic then you can open the particular folder rather than having to search all betty files, nigel files, habib files for the concerned thing.
It will save your time

I checked them and i only see matkis made of clay
my question is with respect to the nest box(square or rectangular shaped) like
the one which Sarang gave you
if you had nest boxes made from clay in same size as that wooden next box then
please share pictures
otherwise i think it will be wrong to term the matkis as next boxes

This document will put you right, I find it is very useful. Another one for the data base on BSP.
You don't need Ino hens, normals, and opalines will do the same job and probably better. This document gives you what you will get out of the matings.

a similar thing happened in dec 2007 when javed bhai lost his major
bids due to an incident but he was able to build up his numbers by
buying newer birds to go along with the survivors
that was due to spray not from the gas. regards Habib

it could have been a gas leak or some spray but i think the people there could have smelled it too
its a pity that the fancier lost his clearbodies and best crest birds
thats a total wipeout of all the hardwork he did
considering the fact that Australia doesnt allow imports
i feel more for this guy and others as they have to start from scratch
a similar thing happened in dec 2007 when javed bhai lost his major bids due to an incident but he was able to build up his numbers by buying newer birds to go along with the survivors
Perhaps Doctor ROb can perform autopsy on the casualties to see what went wrong with them
best of luck to all those who suffered from this gas leak accident
i really feel for them

so what are these clay nestboxes
can you share pictures
I am one of those who shifted to nestboxes from clay pots and i firmly advocate the use of nestbox since it provides better chance of survival to the youngest siblings

Nice n appreciating Usiad;i would like to share my experience which i had with my one peg ion ( bantom fantail ) ..the mother of the chick was dead due to certain reason..while i done the feeding from my mouth ..with simple straw ..as you said millet ( bajra green wala ) and the wheat seeds..chew n grand all in the mouth..than ..apply with water ..n thrown in the corp ..and the bird really Love me..n i won a trophy with the same bird in the pegion show at Karachi ..in the best tame bird in 1990 ..n Mr.Tariq knows what kind of pegion i kept ..
moreover; some time bread ( roti ) even boiled potatoes ..offered to the birds. but this was all with my pegions Best Regards Habib

buy a syringe
remove its needle and insert a plastic tube(ones which are used for blood tranfusion)
to act as a home made crop needle
for the soft food
i suggest mixing a table spoon each of cerelac three fruits mix and millet flour(bajray ka atta) with half glass water
this soft mix can be safely given to any bird since every bird shop guy in karachi uses this mix for handfeeding chicks
i myself used this technique to feed alexandrine chick 3 years ago which now has grown into a beautiful hand tamed male
the picture is present as display picture in facebook where it is sitting on my shoulder

which multivitamin are you using and what is your method and routine of using it
similarly which veggies are you using
if you disclose your cage management then it will shed more light on the underlying problem

Yes the cinnamons were indeed badly colored
i was more amazed to see a visual opaline cock being split to cinnamon at the same time
it was throwing opaline hens, cinnamon hens and recessive pied hens
and i have discussed the relevant issues with Gordon
genetics are really a great thing to know
These pictures are 3 years old
the hen died in 2008 whereas the cock was sold later to make way for ebs
i have shared in past that in order to keep ebs,i sold every single lovebirds, tiel and australian budgie since i have a limited space to work with

We do not have such formula, the quality
birds are around the world, and we have same quality as in UK with some of German, Holland,
Swiss, USA and Belgium (I am
sure I missed few names to mention here) fanciers. May be we will be able to
put Pakistan’s
name in the list in next few years. Many dreams of mine come true, and I am
sure we will also achieve this soon also.
BUT we need to be consistent if we really want this to happen.
Warm regards

Hi Friends
What is the major difference between the QUALITY of
the budgerigars? specially from UK
and Europe and we could compare with the
other countries?
Look like the 'wild' bird - colours would be brilliant to sight

Hi Usaid
Thanks for coming to the rescue with products that can be used and available in Pakistan. I realise that each country has its own products and input from yourself is greatly appreciated.
Habib - Put this recipe into the data base for Pakistani members please.
buy a syringe remove its needle and insert a plastic tube(ones which are used for blood tranfusion) to act as a home made crop needle
for the soft food i suggest mixing a table spoon each of cerelac three fruits mix and millet flour(bajray ka atta) with half glass water this soft mix can be safely given to any bird since every bird shop guy in karachi uses this mix for handfeeding chicks
i myself used this technique to feed alexandrine chick 3 years ago which now has grown into a beautiful hand tamed male the picture is present as display picture in facebook where it is sitting on my shoulder

Hi,
I judged the Italian Club Show this year and there were around 300 of these small budgerigars on show in addition to the exhibition birds. They may not have the power of the exhibition budgerigars but their colour was superb as was the variety content.

Hi,
I didn't follow the discussion on the miniature budgies but in my country you can find them in every pet shop. This year some of the clubs decided to allow this birds on the shows in different classes. They decided this because COM accept the birds on the shows and judges got the rules to judge them. On my website you can find an article about this birds and I send this article to BW but till now it was not published. You can be for or against those birds but I think it is a possibility to bring more people to the shows and perhaps some off them will be later on interested in the birds we know. Just a thought...

I judged the Italian Club Show this year
and there were around 300 of these small budgerigars on show in addition to the
exhibition birds. They may not have the power of the exhibition budgerigars but
their colour was superb as was the variety content.

buy a

remove its needle and insert a plastic tube(ones which are used for blood

to act as a home made crop needle
for the soft food
i suggest mixing a table spoon each of cerelac three fruits mix and millet
flour(bajray ka atta) with half glass water
this soft mix can be safely given to any bird since every bird shop guy in

i myself used this technique to feed alexandrine chick 3 years ago which now
has grown into a beautiful hand tamed male

I didn't follow the discussion on the miniature budgies but in my country you can find them in every pet shop. This year some of the clubs decided to allow this birds on the shows in different classes. They decided this because COM accept the birds on the shows and judges got the rules to judge them. On my website you can find an article about this birds and I send this article to BW but till now it was not published. You can be for or against those birds but I think it is a possibility to bring more people to the shows and perhaps some off them will be later on interested in the birds we know. Just a thought...
Thanks for coming to the rescue with products that
can be used and available in Pakistan. I realise that each country has its
own products and input from yourself is greatly appreciated.
Habib - Put this
recipe into the data base for Pakistani members please.
buy a syringe
remove its needle and insert a plastic tube(ones which are used for blood
tranfusion)
to act as a home made crop needle
for the soft food
i suggest mixing a table spoon each of cerelac three fruits mix and millet
flour(bajray ka atta) with half glass water
this soft mix can be safely given to any bird since every bird shop guy in
karachi uses this mix for handfeeding chicks
i myself used this technique to feed alexandrine chick 3 years ago which now
has grown into a beautiful hand tamed male
the picture is present as display picture in facebook where it is sitting on
my shoulder
