Description

Members of California Rescuers Network are concerned with the welfare of animals, primarily in CA.

**********

CRN is a network of animal rescuers, volunteers, shelter scouts and individuals interested in the protection of all animals. Our goals are multi-faceted, but our main objectives include saving animals in shelters; finding good adoptive homes; problem solving; exchanging ideas and information; networking with other rescuers to accomplish our goals; and forging positive, solution-oriented relationships between rescue groups and shelters.

**********

CRN invites members within the many sectors of the animal welfare and animal rescue community as long as group guidelines are respected.

**********

Words like "URGENT" etc. are discouraged unless the individual who is posting has personally verified the situation and includes contact info (name of the person they spoke with, phone #, and the date the person was spoken to)

If you have experienced difficulties with a particular shelter, please post as objectively and factually as possible. You may choose to keep the shelter name, names of shelter personnel, etc. anonymous, but we still request a post based on fact.

We understand the difficulty in remaining objective with passion-evoking topics. We strive to maintain a proactive list with opinions, constructive advice/criticism, networking options and even controversy (no disrespectful content). Members of CRN try to formulate solutions in an objective, cohesive manner.

**********

It is imperative that members respect the integrity of this group: do not crosspost, forward, copy, dictate, or transfer by any other means any message that has been posted without receiving permission from the author. Violators of this request will be removed from the list. Flaming, slamming, and the use of false information to gain access to this list will not be tolerated.
**********

Human egos need to be left at the door; remember we are here solely for the animals.
