Description

Welcome to CRF-Fighters!

This is a low email volume but high information content list for those cat Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) owners who are willing to fight CRF with gusto. From researching/searching medically sound holistic, alternative and experimental medicine for the lastest treatments; to human medicine for news of future medications in the "pipeline," CRF-Fighter members don't take CRF as a death sentence they just have to cope with - they are seeking the best they can give to their kitties, and frankly say so.

This is also a feline Pro-Life mailing list that stresses the longevity of cats with CRF, where the abbreviation "PTS" is reserved to the very last. Members include many who are dealing with CRF daily, and those who's kitties have passed on but remain as guides to help. So new members, as well as, CRF pros can feel at home.

CRF-Fighters is also about emotional support. Caregiving is never an easy task, especially with a kitty that reminds us daily they aren't patients! Members are encouraged to post when they can't get kitty to accept fluids; their vet visit didn't go well; the bills are mounting; and overall frustrations with dealing with a chronic illness. It's important that you don't have to emotionally go through this all alone. There's a whole list who can offer new caregiving insights and offer one-on-one support.

Since we encourage members to post, please upon subscribing either set your preferences for Individual messages or Digest. "Web only" subscribers will be periodically removed from the roster to make sure the CRF-Fighter's membership is active.

So put your fighting spirit to use and introduce yourself, and kitty, today!
