Aww I miss you too, guys!!! :'-)
Glad you'll still have fish without me. At some point I'll breed again and we can exchange boxes... but for now, I'm just lurking on the list and enjoying all the spawns vicariously through all your wonderful pictures. In the wee hours of the morning. While nursing my newborn. Keeps me awake! :)

Eryn,

Hi Mommy, I'm sorry to burst your bubble but there won't be boxes to exchange for a while. I had all these dreams of breeding while being a new dad? Well let me tell you, I spawned the Super Red HMPK before Thanksgiving, with intentions to have more spawns before the show. After work, washing and sterilizing bottles, bathing Kay, story time and finally she foes to sleep then I run down to fish room to frantically feed fish and strip and brooding females that's still breeding then run up to dive into bed so I can get a few hours before late night diaper change, finally sleep for a few more and I head to work! Then it starts over again. What I need to do is to be realistic and find new homes for my Bettas and  Just feed my fish and keep them happy! Sorry to burst your bubble, but just being a daddy and you being the Mom, I am being honest! Just take care of your new fry! Way more rewarding!!! Congrats again!

Got a huge favor to ask. Can you print the attached flyer, cut it,
and deliver flyers to your favorite fish store? If you can do that,
let me know so I mark the fish store(s) off the list.

The flyer is 3-up and has lines for cutting. Almost all fish stores
can take 30 of them, and sometimes quite a few more. And I've never
run into a store that refused to take them.

Also, if you can print extras, can you bring them to the March
meeting? We can distribute them from there.

We're asking if you can print around 200 sheets. Smaller amounts are
OK, too. We need a lot of them because it is amazing how fast people
pick them up at the stores.

thanks a lot ........................... judy

Color copies preferred! Black and white just doesn't look nearly as nice. If
you can't do color copies. come to the March meeting and we'll provide the color
copies to you.

Hmm, interesting combo. I'd hazard a guess that you'll have mostly blue (any or all of the three shades, probably with a metallic sheen) fry with load of red wash, hopefully even enough to make them true multicolors. Many of them will probably be light-bodied under the blue. I'm not sure whether the opaque will show up as color other than the light body under the blue/metallic/red, but it could, and that would be interesting. You may also get marbles, depending on whether either parent had marble in their lineage.
Or it could be something totally different!

Very nice video. Great tank!
Looks like you got a few tail-hangers among those fish. The ones that swim in short darts and sink, tail-down, between darts. Wish I knew how to prevent it or cure it, but I don't. All I can tell you is that it's a big nuisance and ruins otherwise good fish.

Lisa,

This is actually something I am good at... I handle these sort of questions
everyday at work. In order for me to help you better, I would need to ask you a
few more questions. I know this is much easier on the phone. But here it
goes... Do you have any video ports on your computer? If you have the
following, then you would need....

1. VGA port -

I recommend using a video port over the usb port. You will get a much better
and faster video signal. Don't forget to buy a headphone jack to rca
(red/white) cable to get your audio. If you have any more questions, feel free
to ask me.

Lisa,

This is actually something I am good at... I handle these sort of questions everyday at work. In order for me to help you better, I would need to ask you a few more questions. I know this is much easier on the phone. But here it goes... Do you have any video ports on your computer? If you have the following, then you would need....

1. VGA port - http://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1GGGE_enUS420US420&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=vga+to+rca+adapter

2. Svideo port - http://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1GGGE_enUS420US420&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=vga+to+rca+adapter#hl=en&sugexp=ldymls&pq=vga%20to%20rca%20adapter&xhr=t&q=svideo+to+rca+adapter&cp=2&pf=p&sclient=psy&rlz=1C1GGGE_enUS420US420&source=hp&aq=0c&aqi=&aql=&oq=sv+to+rca+adapter&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.&fp=d184bc9da719dfe6

3. HDMI port - http://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1GGGE_enUS420US420&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=vga+to+rca+adapter#hl=en&sugexp=ldymls&pq=svideo%20to%20rca%20adapter&xhr=t&q=hdmi+to+rca+adapter&cp=2&pf=p&sclient=psy&rlz=1C1GGGE_enUS420US420&aq=0c&aqi=&aql=&oq=hd+to+rca+adapter&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.&fp=d184bc9da719dfe6

4. No video port? Lisa,

HDMI is the best way to connect. The HDMI port delivers both audio and video
through the HDMI cable. Does your TV have a HDMI port? If yes, simply use a
HDMI cable. If no, you may have to have some sort of converter in between. The
only cables I found that does HDMI to RCA doesn't seem to include a digital to
analog converter chip in them. Therefore, it may not work for you... If your
TV has component connectors, then you can use the HDMI to RCA/component cable.

What is the exact manufacturer and model of your laptop? Maybe I can google it
and look at the ports, then I can advice you a little better. Most pc's will
have a VGA out(Trapezoid connector). VGA output is best for older TV's that
doesn't have HDMI inputs. Unless both your TV and computer have
S-video(circular connector), that would be easiest.

What kind of connectors do you have on the back of your TV?

That's a heck of an expensive fish! ;D

None of his other fish up are that much, though he has a few others at $100 -- I
wonder if that was supposed to be 100 and he accidentally typed in an extra
zero.

Or he figures a DT Plakat HM Dumbo Eared fish was worth it, considering all the
extras the fish has! Throw it out for the publicity and if anybody actually
buys him... well, that's a lot of money!

I bet the Dumbo Ears could be entered in variations and people would snap them
up. I'm not sure how long it would last, but for first on the scene it's a
really interesting trait.
