The Chihuahua world is filled with bad breeders (commercial breeders, puppy millers, petstores and backyard breeders)out there. Serious breeders show their own lines and breed responsibly. "Repsonsible Breeding" protects the "AKC Chihuahua Standard". Show hobby breeders are NOT commercial even though they charge money. There is no such thing as plain "hobby breeders, unless they actively show their own dogs. (Not just attending a few shows either). The showing part of it makes it a hobby!! Responsible breeders will not sell their dogs on open contracts nor sell to pet stores. Responsible breeders show their dogs and seaprate the pet quality from the show quality offspring and do not breed PETSor sell PETS for breeding! This is why we evolved into a list. This list has the cream of the crop on it. People who are breeding and showing and committed. We allow only people breeding and showing their own lines, no newbies,unless they have a reputable mentor! We are NOT a gossip list! We don't allow aliases. We don't let antagonists on either. We are supportive of each other and strive to rally around those who win fairly.. Part timers are not wanted here! Breeding right is a full time responsibilty! We talk about breeding and showing and dog issues. Weekly participation is required. We will allow posts of anyone out there but they are screened by the moderator.
