Jeffrey;
Thanks for the I.S.A. progress report. Yup, I'm still filling in gaps in
detailed dbase descriptions of our I.S.A. Chinooks; while generally preparing
setup of that serious registry hardfiling/archival system in support of our
I.S.A. serious registry dbase, and I haven't given up hope to be able to dig
into my own pockets later this summer for a used fireproof file to help startout
all I.S.A. breeds right by. In the meantime, it's also a very exciting biz this
getting to know everyone and their own beautiful and purposeful sleddog families
in so many 'parrallel universes', and remains my pleasure and priviledge to do
so, really.
On the topic of Chinook comings and goings;
The sad news is we lost one of our first I.S.A. Chinooks just yesterday, our 13
yo NORTHDOWN LANCE, dob 12.12.1992 (see his photo at
http://tullibardine.bizland.com/ChinookStuds2.chtml ); also best and brightest
of the Tullibardine team wheel dogs for so many years past. I don't think I
even shared this thought with you or anyone at the time; but I 'told' Lance 4
months ago when he began to fail, that I would do my best to get all our
Tullibardine Chinooks assigned their I.S.A. record numbers before he passed on,
including him; and so he hung on for a few more weeks after I got that done
finally (THANKS again to the President for approving my purposefully simple, yet
hopefully not too simple, numbering system of ISA Chinooks emmanating from
Tullibardine as CH00001 thru CH00042 !). So, I.S.A. Chinook CH00003 (an
auspicious number indeed for such a loving boy!) remains guiding me from above
today... I'm beginning work on his memorial webpage, as I continue to gather up
the years worth of photos and tales of his sojourns, and will forward his
pagelink here when done.
And the good news is (as you already know); we're expecting what's to be our
first I.S.A. recorded Tullibardine Chinook litter on or about July 9th! Here's
the lovebugs' - SPARKLE & POWER's - litter announcement page, (with still a few
holes in it I'm also working to fill :)
http://chinooktradingpost.com/puppyJuly05.chtml .
Hopefully, this post will suffice as the beginnings of my own intro to
LegacySleddogs then! Again, it's my pleasure to be amongst the likes of one and
all. More later, as I've gotta get back to keeping my tawny dogs cool, calm &
collected, now it's past high noon in New Sharon, ME!
Oh, and thanks for all your own hard work these past 6 mos. (to 40 yrs:)! As
you also already know, I.S.A. remains my and our Tullibardine Farm Chinooks
'dream come true', simply for being a finer 'breed registry' and breed supporter
for the Chinook already than we ever dared imagine. And I'm going back to study
your Alfirin dbase records/pedigrees on the SSSD's 'boat dogs' myself now. I
like to start at the beginnings of things, before they get 'wicked' confusing,
as we say here in Maine :-) Glad to be onboard!
