The Click-L_Animal Behavior and Training list takes a constructional approach to problem solving. We teach animals, including humans, what we want them to do in highly effective ways that do not focus on corrections and punishment.
We discuss behavior analytic principles as they relate to the training of any species of animal, including the human. We focus on scientifically demonstrated methods, and do not allow discussions of animal psychics and communicators, flower essences, etc.
We focus on using the least invasive and painful methods available.Members may not recommend the use of corrections, shock collars, prong collars, choke chains, spanking, etc. although discussion of their use is permitted in an educational context. Such recommendations will result in that member being placed on moderated status. Repeated promotion of such punishment methods will result in banning. Discussions about punishment training devices and methods are permitted in the spirit of learning as we look for less problematic alternatives.
Only active members may post seminar information, and no more frequently than twice per month.
