I don't know if I think it was boredom, but by asking him to do more things and
thus moving his feet for activities, then you are inadvertently acting more like
an alpha leader and that will lead to more respect on his part. He was not
respectful and you were backing off, which was not leader-like on your part. You
now asking him to step it up and do things, then you are earning his respect.
Gives you something to concentrate on vs worrying about biting too, which will
help show confidence and leadership to him.
Don't let yourself allow biting as acceptable, in case he re-tests you. Zero
tolerance. Make him move those feet and do a task for you, as that seems to be
your answer. He wants your praise more than treats, which is really great to me!
