This group is for individuals who have deaf dogs or are interested in learning more about them. We have a yearly Play Day for dogs in Colorado and surrounding states. Our gatherings offer an opportunity to network, educate, share our successes and discuss the occasional challenge with our wonderful deaf companions.
Pls feel free to brag or ask questions. You can also post photos of your dog(s) in the Photo section. Please introduce yourself and your dog when you join us.
It is NOT a place to sell product or services.
PHOTO DESCRIPTION:
Hello, my name is Maxum. My owners could no longer keep me, but I was lucky enough to be brought to MaxFund, where I’m learning American Sign Language. I’m getting quite good at “Sit” and “Down”.
I am looking for confident and experienced people to love me and work with me. I would prefer a home where there are no small children...not because I don't like kids; in fact I do quite well with older children who understand my challenges.
I love going for my daily walks. MaxFund has information on working with a hearing impaired dog that they can share with you. If you are serious about adopting me, please ask to meet my CHAMPS trainer Tiffany for more information on the signs I am learning and how best to train me.
Please come meet me, as I am ready to give you all the love in the world if you are willing to give the same amount of love to me. I love my play time in the yard and am happier than ever just to roll in the grass and have my tummy rubbed after a good training session.
