This was put up a little late but Please vote for # 2 ! the lobster pot!!
Just click oncontact us Then just fill out name and email and put #2 lobster pot in the comments ( I know it takes alot of effort) This is where our rescue girl Betty Boop learned to walk again. I want to win and help another dog walk so please take the time!
We finally have the all clear from the vet to foster again after the doggies illnesses (received just yesterday!).
We could take this boy provided he does not have an issue with other dogs or people, wont jump the fence to best of our knowledge... etc We are not a rescue tho so would need a rescue to stand behind us and accept this boy!
I can't pull him tomorrow tho as I don't drive and my husband will be at work. Can anyone else get him and bring him to Longmont or keep him until the evening?

Michele Kintzer has just recently packed up again and moved to Harrisburg PA!
Over 40 dogs found dead at the farm owned by Michele Kintzer in rural Eldora, Iowa (Hardin County). She is fleeing from charges regarding this case.
She is yet one more hoarder who operated an animal rescue scam known as Waggin Tails. Owners brought their animals to her thinking she would take care of them until she found them homes, but she starved them.
There were no waggin tails when this canine Auschwitz was discovered.
For some reason, both the county sheriffs office and the county attorney have not actively pursued charges even though the evidence is about as damning and graphic as it could possibly be.
She has been witnessed trying to adopt animals from shelters in Iowa, and she is now in your territory. Please PA, be aware of this name and spread the word!

Hi Cyndi,
Welcome to the world of deaf dogs! You can go to www.SpiritofDeafDogs.org
for information. There are links for training and other general
information. If this little pup isn't spoken for already, you can post her
on the Adopt page of this site as well. If you are in the Denver area, I
would be happy to come and share some basic info as well as signs to use
with the pup. You can contact me directly at RChampion@....

At 42.25 inches tall, the 4-year-old dog from San Diego is deaf, epileptic and partly blind, Titan's proud owner Diana Taylor told Sign On San Diego.
Taylor adopted her 190-pound Great Dane in 2005 from a rescue group in Tennessee. "It's not just wonderful for Titan," she told Sign On San Diego. "It's wonderful for all dogs."
We got Grace from a county shelter, as a dog that was on the line to be put down. We came to get some other dogs to take to our no-kill shelter, but I fell in love with her when I saw her. The dog warden came in and told me she was deaf and I was amazed. We decided to take her.
My dear boy Lofi a collie / corgi mix that I have had forever passed away today. My friends sister was taking him back to the pound when I stepped in and took him. They said he was 9 years old....That was 12 years ago ( I doubt he was 9) I figure he was probably around 15 or 16 now. Hey girls how are yall doing? I need to see if you can cross-post this for me, I have a friend that needs to find a permanent home for 2 white deaf cats.. They are about 1.5 years old and are brothers they need to go a home together.. Thier names are Ying and Yang one of them has 1 blue eye and 1 green eye, and the other one has 2 blue eyes. They are very active and love to play, they are up to date on all shots, nuetered and declawed in the front. They are really neat cats they will lay together and clean each other it is very cute. This lady had rescued them before the original owner was going to take them to the shelter so she took them in and got them everything they needed but she has other cats that are older and are not likeing the young cats in the house so she is haveing some behavorial issues with the older ones. If you could pass this on it
would really help allot I will also attach some pics.
Thank you so much
Brandi

I'm sorry about Lofi. I had no idea you had a puppy with a tail. Time goes by so fast. No doubt Lofi had a very unique life with you and the little ones. How did he manage to stay out of the costumes??

Please Forward this angel! I am desperate to save her. She is so sweet and so scared. She came in as a stray all alone (On my first day at the shelter). She is currently in my office and comfy. I would love for her to go to a rescue for deaf/blind dogs. I feel she would do better with a companion. Being that she is at the city shelter though I do not want to take a chance on her getting sick from another puppy. She's been dewormed and had her first shot. HELP!!

From: Jennifer Conners <lilospromise@...> Date: Thu, 19 Nov 2009 18:45:16 -0500 Subject: NJ: URGENT!! Need commitment by tomorrow! Elena, Deaf 14 week old American Bulldog/Pit puppy
**Elena- Deaf 14 week old American Bulldog mix puppy is URGENT**
Elena is approximately 14 weeks old and has already learned how unfair life can be. Her sweet self was found tied to a tree by several shoelaces in the pouring rain last weekend. She was brought to the SPCA where we gave her everything she needed to be comfortable. We vaccinated her and were waiting for her stray time to be up so we could find her a loving home. One day a staff member noticed that she remained curled up fast asleep in her bed throught the "morning rush" of dogs barking for their breakfast. After further observation, we believe that Elena is severely hard of hearing or deaf. We hung up our "deaf dog protocol" on her kennel to begin to teach her sign language and she responded quickly. She is very playful and loved time out in the yards, but her favorite thing to do is giving kisses, and she willl happily sit in your lap to do so.
Unfortunately, fate had another nasy twist for Elena. The SPCA takes animals that are stray, released, and cruelty seizures. Our intake in the past day was extremely high and we are expecting more intake tomorrow. We have run out of space. Elena needs rescue commitment or adoption by tomorrow. I can make arrangements for her to be held for several days in a short term foster home if neccesary. She will need a placement that understands the needs of a deaf dog and will have patience and dedication to truely follow through on her training with sign language. If you are able to help Elena, please contact Maria at CCSPCA_Foster@... or by cell phone 609-330-1393. Thank you.
