Description

This list is designed for people who would like to learn more about available commercial dog foods (kibble, canned, granulated, frozen, dehydrated, etc.), compare commercial dog foods, or just share experiences with using them. Everyone is welcome to join no matter what kind of food you feed your dog, but this list will mainly be a forum to compare the commercial dog foods. Acceptable topics, though, would include kibble comparison, supplements, recipe ideas for treats, dog nutrition in general, etc. Those who feed home cooked or raw diets are welcome to contribute information also. There are a lot of dog foods out there and a lot of information pertaining to these different foods, and I hope this list will exist as a tool for education and learning as well as a way to bounce ideas off each other regarding the different foods available as well as what some of these foods contain that could be detrimental to our dogs' health. This is not a place to try to convert people to a different way of feeding, just a place to learn and maybe even make some new friends. Also, no blatant advertising please, although if you sell a particular food it's certainly fine to bring up that food in the natural course of discussion or place the website in your signature line. The topic of what to feed our dogs often elicits some very strong opinions and I just ask that everyone respect the opinions and ideas of other list members and use courtesy when replying or posting messages. All posts by new members will be moderated. New members please post an introductory message to the group as your first post.
