DISTRICT 5 NEWS is a news and information sharing list for American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA) members residing in Directorial District 5, including Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma. List membership is not restricted to District 5 members, and has evolved into a much broader group discussing many breeds and types of goats, anyone with an interest in goats is welcome to join our discussion group. Dairy goats and related issues are discussed. With dairy goat breeders adding other breeds including market, meat, hair & fiber, pack animals, mini breeds and pets, etc., the purpose of this forum has evolved to be much more inclusive. Information updates including dairy goat shows, show schedules, 4-H, youth groups, dairy goat club news are posted. Benefit auctions or advertising benefit auction items is not permitted. FOR SALE or WANTED ADS for goats or goat-related items may be posted on any day of the week, provided you also participate in group discussion. Using the list for "selling only" or "product advertising only" or "want ads only" will be treated as SPAM and deleted without notice. This rule applies equally to list members who post messages for non-list members. Fund Raisers, solicitations, & Benefit Auctions are prohibited. Those making disruptive posts and Spam will be removed from the list without notice. To protect the integrity of our list against undesirable posts, subscribers are required to list their correct name & complete mailing address & zip code in the user profile section along with their breed(s) of goat, or you may send that information privately to the list moderator at nubians@earthlink.net.
