The dogs do sun salutations, downward facing position, upward-paw pose and many more asanas. No worries.  You will also get a workout using your dog to assist you in traditional and modified poses. June 7 contest/event
Camp Bow Wow, doggy day and overnight camp
located at 1431 N. Daly St. in Anaheim, will host: Gemini Cosmic Canine Celebration, a twin contest and parade celebrating summer and the Gemini zodiac sign, on Sunday, June, 7th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be awards for best costumes and the most identical match -up as well as for look-alike parents and pooches. There will be activities, a pet psychic, professional photos, local dog rescues, raffle prizes, food and vendors at the event as well. (714) 533-2267

8th Annual Nuts for Mutts Dog Show & Pet Fair
Sunday, May 17, at Shepard Stadium at Pierce College, 6201 Winnetka Ave., Woodland Hills, featuring something for every member of the family.  Highlights include a mixed breed dog show, pet adoptions, a fair with vendors selling everything from healthy dog treats to fashionable pet carriers, great food, live music, a silent auction, kid's corner and more, all benefiting nonprofit animal rescue organization, New Leash on Life.

re. parvo
I read in Justin Rudd's newsletter about the horrible parvo outbreak at the Pomona animal shelter where 50 infected dogs were euthanized!!   How did they let this happen?  It could have been prevented!  Did they not have any Parvo to administer?  This has saved the lives of many dogs of friends and family that I know.

 

My sister's jack russel (2 years old) was infected and being treated
by the vet on an I.V. drip for 3 days, the vet was not holding out hope that he would make it through the night.  My sister read about the Parvo saving other dogs that were infected (and vets don't really want you to know this so they can rack up the $1,200+ medical bills). She bought a bottle and took her dog from the vet, treated him at home and the next day he was eating and drinking on his own again and made a full recovery.  Please don't let this happen again!  Keep this on hand at all animal shelters!  Please be informed about this and know that there are many retailers to obtain this from:

Robert MacNeil, tenor
Mr. MacNeil has been praised by the L.A. Times for possessing a voice that is "clarion" and "clear." An accomplished concert artist, the tenor has been soloist in more than fifty performances of Handel's Messiah . He has soloed with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in performances of Elijah , the Sydney Choral Festival in the Berlioz Requiem and in Orff's Carmina Burana with the Central Union Philharmonic in Beijing. He made his Carnegie Hall solo debut in Britten's The World of the Spirit and appeared in Rome with the Orchestra Roma Symphonia in Verdi's Requiem. Mr. MacNeil, a National Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, has his B.M. from Chapman University and M.M. from the University of Southern California. At the University of Southern California, he was a Marilyn Horne Scholar and was named Most Outstanding Graduate Student from the Thornton School of Music. He has performed with the L.A. Opera, San Francisco Opera, Calif. Philharmonic, Verdi Chorus, San Diego Chamber Orchestra, L.A. Master Chorale and more.
