Re: [DogHolocaust] A worried Pitt Bully Owner

Yes yes yes! Do NOT cooperate with animal control (aka health department) EVER.
I learned this the hardest way- after they euthanized my dog that had never
bitten any body! They are ALWAYS and ARE CURRENTLY building a case against you
for declaring your dog DANGEROUS. After they succeed in doing that they can slap
you with tons of tickets and restricrtions. Email me asap on my personal email:
savemypitbulls@... there is a ton of you have to know. In the mean time,
look at the ADOA website; Animal Farm Foundation and get as much info as
possible about your city, county and state laws reguarding dogs, bites,
dangerous dog laws. Email me stat!

Subject: [DogHolocaust] A worried Pitt Bully Owner

Hello all,

I'm never the type to message… always the one sitting back and reading/
learning, what you all have to say. At this time I need people who know where
I'm coming from, and where things could go. I have two bully's, Jezzie 3 and
Athena 10. Recently my 10yr old bit my niece.... Athena has never bit anyone
ever!! and has never shown aggression. Athena, was tied up by a tree far from
everyone (she likes being off on her own), during a party I was having. I would
of had her in the house, but we just bought the house and it has no A/C. So,
while the family was all over the house, Athena was out side away from everyone
with water, shade and her favorite ball. Everything was going so well, before I
knew it I was told my niece had been bitten. It's not a bad bite, but a bite is
a bite. And given the location... the side of the neck, it made it seem even
worse to me. Ever since I've been kicking my self because I should have done
this or should have done that... and I should have known better than
that...ect!! Yes I know I should have kept a better eye on her, and or not have
put her out at all, which I wasn't but everyone kept giving me stuff for keeping
her in her room (I was always told to never put any dog in a predicament where
they could get into trouble, especially a bully, because they will get blamed
for it not matter what). Long story short I let her out and turned my back and
she bit my niece. I don't know why (I wish I knew)I heard too many stories that
day to say for sure.
My brother took my niece to the hospital, I gave her tag # (it checked out)...
all seemed to be calm and ok, until today!!! When someone from the Health Dept
came knocking at my door. She said she just wanted to come and "check on
Athena". We brought Athena out, and the women was scared... she said "oh, ok. I
just needed to see her". Athena is a Big girl, but a Male pit is much larger
than Athena. So, my question is… after a dog bit is it normal or a person form
the Dept of Health to send someone out to check on the dog, with out leaving a
card, name, or paper... and on top of that sending a person who is scared of
large dogs?? I'm scared that because her being a Pit, they are checking up on
her (where she lives)for a possible plan B on me??

Please if anyone know or suggests what i do next please let me know you
thoughts.... I don't know where to go, as I'm afraid of any exposure. And if you
have negative comments please keep them to your self... I've been beating my
self up enough.

You're Friend,
Gurly
