One of the ECIR Group sister sites, ECHorsekeeping provides a place for discussion related to non- metabolic horses. Diagnosis, Diet, Trim and Exercise is the focus to allow a place for members to discuss nutrition for non-PPID/IR horses including different breeds, pregnant mares, healthy retirees, young and working horses.

General horse keeping practices, lameness and other equine health issues that are not related to a PPID/IR horse, alternative therapies and equine related philosophical debates are also acceptable on ECHorsekeeping.

Here is an example of the difference between ECHorsekeeping and the main ECIR list: the metabolic effects of slow feeding would be discussed on the main list; the how to's of obtaining, introducing and hanging slow feeders would take place on ECHorsekeeping. 

Please keep discussions of Cushing’s and IR horses on the main EC list.  

The rules and atmosphere here are less strict than the main list however any inappropriate material or advertising will be deleted.    Please notify the list Moderators or Support Team with direct private email immediately if a problem occurs so it can be addressed.
