I have an older mare who I have discontinued breeding but she is
living out her life in my pastures. She cycles regularly and her
cycles are quite lengthy so it seems she is always in heat. Is there
anything I can give her that would stop the heat behavior for the
summer without doing her any real harm? Besides spaying her or
injecting her daily? I looked through a bunch of the old files but
didn't come up with anything useful.
