dirty broodmare

I have a 10 year old that foaled a week ago and in 4 previous foalings, she was
cultured as "dirty" and had to be treated before she would settle.? I noticed
her rubbing her tail against the barn and really scratching and switching her
tail.? Could that be a sign she is dirty again?? Is that similiar to a yeast
infection in women (which can really be itchy)?? Should I culture her before
breeding?? She had a normal foaling and has no discharge that is visible.?
Thanks!
