It's been a bad year in KY and NY for " newborn foal diarrhea", most likely
clostridium. Heed the advice, these little guys get dehydrated quickly and
will fade away before your eyes. We have been treating ours with
Metronizole,Naxcel,Gastroguard,Probios and IV fluids. We have not lost one
yet(out of 42)
but a few have been very sick.Of course you MUST consult with your
veterinarian for a treatment protocol.
