Description

Equine Wobblers Yahoo Group's purpose is to assist in the search for the cause of equine cervical vertebral malformation/instability also known as cervical stenotic myelopathy which results in spinal cord compression leading to neurological deficits. The condition was commonly referred to as "wobbler syndrome". It is hoped that the serious interchange of ideas and the relating of case histories of our afflicted foals/horses will shed light on the cause of this, too often, devastating disease/condition. Our goal is to aquire knowledge resulting in less horses being so afflicted.

Use will be made of the Database Feature of this site and it is important that members complete this section as objectively and accurately as possible. It is this accumulation of data, as well as more specific data called for later, that will lead to answers. It is best to leave a field blank or enter question mark(?) rather than input incorrect information.

This group is formed in honor and in memory of Warren Littlebear, my wobbler colt, as well as in honor and memory of ALL wobblers.

Thank you for your active participation in this quest for understanding.

Dede Maloney
