I received a call from Steve Parker this morning regarding 27 Arabian horses that he can no longer care for (see his email below). He lives off of Old U.S. Hwy. 80 in Arlington (near Buckeye & Tonopah). Most are between 10-16 years of age. He’s running out of food and situation seems serious. He’s willing to give some away. He seems very concerned about them and wants to do the right thing. As you can see, he’s also leasing or selling the property. Please circulate.

Sadly I do not have time for my 18 yr old beautiful 15 h bay arab. I have had
her for 9 years and between working 2 jobs and going to school I cant give her
the attention she deserves. She goes english/western very easy keeper (no
shoes) great ground manners (stands for vet and farrier). No health problems.
needs experienced rider. Very loving horse and it breaks my heart to have to
search for a new home but I need to be fair to her. She is great around kids
and other animals. Loves being turned out all day with other horses. Feel free

We have 30 horses here and need to get the number down as soon as possible. We have many that are ready for their forever home. We have a couple of new arrivals that require more one on one time then the horses that are ready for homes. Sammi needs a lot of work in preparation of giving birth. She hasn’t had much handling and we need to fix that which will require much more of my time.
Chiquita is a really nice Paso filly that is a pocket pony. She truly loves being around people and will follow you anywhere. She is ready to start training and will be a fast learner. She loves to please – she loves the positive attention that follows. We will lower her adoption fee to $200 to an approved home.
Mystic Junic is a 10 yr old TB mare that is a retired mounted police horse. She is very sweet and willing. She is tall, about 16 hh but is ready to start work again. I’ve ridden her many times and she is nice – she just needs to get back to routine work to get some muscle back on her. We will lower her adoption fee to $300 to an approved home.
Adiva is also available and her training has been started. She will make her own human very proud. She is very, very intelligent and a beautiful mover. We will lower her adoption fee to $250 to an approved home.
Nash is an awesome 17 yr old QH gelding that is a very pleasant horse. He’s healthy and happy and would very much like his own human family. He’s a retired barrel horse and would be good for trails. We will lower his adoption fee to $250 to an approved home.
Bud is a very, very beautiful 7 yr old QH gelding that would be nice for trail riding and light work. His feet are doing awesome but he does have thin soles – putting shoes on him is not an option. We will lower his adoption fee to $300 to an approved home.
Classy is a really sweet pony that has a great personality. She is wonderful with kids. She does have a trach – she only needs it to be wiped clean each day and SWAT put around it. She can not be put in any pasture where there is a pond. She can’t swim. She had been adopted out to a family and her human was a 3 yr old girl that loved her dearly. The family had a change in life circumstance and had to return Classy. It was by no means for anything Classy did or because of her trach. I’m sure the family would be happy to discuss Classy with anyone that may be interested in her. We will lower her adoption fee to $200 to an approved home that must be within 150 miles of the rescue.

On January 29th Bobbi and Pongo were rescued by Beauty's Haven from a sad and dangerous situation.

They are both 15 yrs old Appys , who had a possible home to go to when they arrived to Beauty's Haven but unfortunately the folks interested in them changed their minds.
Pongo has pink skin and he is getting very sunburned. Ideally we would like to see Bobbi and Pongo go together to a forever loving home. But at this time Pongo is needing a home that will provide him not only the proper care but also shade he so requires.

I was going through Craigslist and I stumbled arcoss this boy, If anyone can
help please contact these people. I would help him if I had the money, but I'm
a broke college kid that lives with her parents who say I'm allowed to have a
horse after we move to Tennessee

Parker, lives in Brighton Illinois (1-1 ½ hrs north-east of St Louis Missouri)
lost her job 6months ago and they are trying to foreclose on her farm. I had
homes for the two horses but the day before they were to be picked up I
received a phone call that both women's husband's had been laid-off. I am again
trying to locate homes for them.
"Domino" - born in 1989 is a Leopard Appaloosa. Mom has had him I
believe since he was 6 yrs old (maybe longer). He still thinks and acts like
he's 6 yrs old! He never grew up. Has plenty of energy and loves to go for
rides whether ridden or in the trailer! He's kind of like a Golden retriever,
always ready to go and can't wait! My brother comes down the driveway with the
horse trailer and Domino starts to Whinny, flips up his tail and starts running
for the gate! He is a very smooth ride and I love to ride him bare back. He does
not like more than one person on him however.
"Queenie" - April 1985. is a black Tennessee Walker. She is
beautiful, easy-going loving and sweet, doesn't mind anything you need to do to
her. She is neck-reined, leg-reined and was also voice-command trained. I have
never used the voice commands on her, but she is a wonderful easy-going ride,
mostly ridden by my daughter. She was trained with the English saddle and seems
to prefer it. My brother can lead her out of the pasture with no halter or lead
rope and she will follow him like a faithful dog wherever he wants her to go
While Domino is obviously the dominant horse in the pasture, and tends to
control where & when Queenie eats, when he is not around she will go find
him and stand by him. My mother is 70 yrs old and can no longer take care of
them as they should be, but does her best with the help of my brother. I am
only able to come home once a year so I do repairs and grooming and whatever
else she needs help with then, which is not enough. When the fence shorts out
and Domino finds the neighbors grass to nibble on and has to be closed up in
the barn until my brother can come fix it for her.. There is Queenie right next
to the door, waiting for him.
They are a funny couple, and I love them dearly, but it's simply not fair for
them to not have the daily attention they deserve.
My husband talked with a guy names Mike I believe. And I am including pictures
in the hopes that a very loving home can be found for them with lots of
attention. They had a Coggins test on June 6th to which the results came out
just fine and were also wormed at the same time.
