If we reunite only one cat with its owner, this list will have served its purpose.
This is a nationwide group to be used for posting alerts for missing,found or stolen cats throughout the United States (and Canada) similar to the way Amber Alerts are used to help find missing or abducted children. Message archives are open to the public, but ONLY MEMBERS can post messages. Shelters,Humane Societies, Rescue,Sanctuaries, and individuals are encouraged to post all reported cases on file.

RULES FOR POSTING:

All posts must be AS BRIEF AS POSSIBLE and must include:

1. IN THE SUBJECT LINE: City AND State where the cat was lost/found/stolen

2. IN THE BODY OF YOUR EMAIL:

* Contact information such as phone number, email so you can be contacted off-list if needed in the event the cat has been located.
* Cat's name/Nickname
* Detailed description of the cat - (breed/markings/size/weight)
DO NOT ABBREVIATE BREEDS!
* Microchip - (yes/no)
* Tattoo - (yes/no)
* Collar/tags - (yes/no)
* Ear tipping/tagging - (yes/no) Mostly used in TNR colonies
* Any critical information – needs medication,unusual markings,
personality,fears.

One (1) photo per cat may be posted in the related album in the Photo section.

INAPPROPRIATE posts (spam/solicitations/advertising) will be REJECTED.
