Robert's platform of Director at Large Position for the MFTHBA Thank you for your support again. It isn't going to be an easy one to win being a write in. With such short notice about running for a BOD position a few of the things we need to continue to focus on are the finances, more promotion, and the membership.

The membership needs a boost, we have lost members and need to get them back. We also need to generate new membership. Once we have them as a member we need to keep them as a member. The majority of people that will buy a MFT are people who trail ride. When they buy their MFT they really are not concerned with switching the paper over to their name. We as a member need to encourage them to do so. We as a group need to work on some kind of an incentive to get these members and to get them to stay. I will admit that this year I didn't renew my membership until mid-spring. I wasn't sure were the association was going. I guess what
I am trying to say we as a group need to work together. We need to pool all of our resources and utilize them. The BOD of last year has made some progress with what they had to work with. It was a learning year with the new regional directors and declining economy. We have a long road ahead of us and only by working together will we make it through. If elected to this position I will serve the membership and the humane
treatment of our horses. I am asking for your suggestions, ideas, and possibly your help. I am your voice to the board. I won't make any campaign promises, so many times they are broken. What I will do is listen to any and all suggestions that you as a member have and take it to the board. I am not doing this for any praise or glory for myself. I am doing this for the membership. I am asking for you support during this election. And if elected I will ask for your help. Working as one
you accomplish nothing as a group we can conquer the world. In order to fix the problem you have to be part of the solution. I am always available for any of your questions and suggestions. You can call or email me anytime.
