I apologize for "cross-posting" to so many gp-related lists, but this is
important,
and not everyone is on the main GermanPinschers maillist.
If you see this from me, at any other list, it is the SAME letter.
I am making a more detailed file to upload -- to explain other features,
like messages, bookmarks, files, database, etc. that will be in a folder called
"Administrative" -- with a file name "HOW TO" -- at my maillists.
I will delete this message from my lists, once I have it done.
No point repeating "stuff" to duplicate in the limited archive space.
you have permission to forward this to your other yahoo listmembers.
I hope this helps some of you who are having problems with new Yahoo maillist
groups.

How to convert your email to a Yahoo user ID:
1. Go to http://www.yahoogroups.com/
2. Select the blue link on top left eGroups users Link your accounts here
3. Enter your old egroups login details, that is your email address and
your password (that you would have use to go to the egroup site, ie to
change to no mail etc)
4. Then continue, it will ask for your Yahoo login, if you have one, enter
the yahoo id, if not follow instructions to sign up a new yahoo account.
5. The system should then link your two accounts together.

To change your profile, you need to login into yahoo following the instructions
below (assuming you have successfully linked your accounts above)
1. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/
2. Sign in using the ‘registered users’ option on left, and hit sign in button
3. You should find yourself in your on space with all your yahoo groups listed
down the left
4. Top right of screen is a blue link to Account Info, click this to take you
to profile page
5. Then on Right of table click Edit/Create Profiles
6. Then click the create or edit button to amend your profile/or set it up
(to keep Liz happy! - scary bit is you can even downlaod a photo of
yourself!
7. Someone asked about the smily faces - What does "online status" mean?
--When you are logged into Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! Chat or Yahoo! Games,
other Yahoo! users will see a smiley face () next to your name
indicating that you are online. They can then contact you by sending an
instant message. You can turn this facility off in your profile if you
would rather people did not know you were on line
