BLUE and PARBLUE mutations are not ALLELES in REDRUMP   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #18324 of 18520 |
Hello all,

Since three years I'm working with "EUROPEAN BLUE", the TURQUOISE PARBLUE mutation in REDRUMP and the "AUSTRALIAN BLUE", the TRUE BLUE mutation...

With many pairs I may confirm at present time they are TWO DIFFERENT MUTATIONS...

Some examples of breeding results :

OPALINE TURQUOISE cock x OPALINE BLUE female : 2 OPALINE GREEN offsprings

BLUE cock x CREMINO female : 2 GREEN offsprings

PALLIDINO BLUE cock split OPALINE x TURQUOISE COBALT split BLUE female :
GREEN offsprings also in PALLID, in INO (LUTINO), in PALLID OPALINE
TURQUOISE offsprings also in PALLID, in INO (CREMINO)
BLUE offsprings also in COBALT, in INO (ALBINO)

Did other breeders tests the mating BLUE x TURQUOISE in REDRUMP ?

Kind regards

Thierry
