Poor baby is right! If you told them you were only there for xrays,
I hope you didn't pay for another blood test. If people would refuse
to pay for tests that they are NOT asking for, perhaps the office
policy would tighten-up and they would be more careful in the future.

I commend you for your love and dedication. In these hard financial
times, most people are being careful with their spending, and I know
many who think their "pets" are expendable (yet they can afford many
frills and expensive "toys")

Bob, follow doctor's orders if he says to 'keep the dog quiet'. When the
heartworms die, they can cause clumps in the arteries and cause heart
stoppage (not the right technical term). I rescued a Dobe, in the 80s,
which was the only dog I ever had that went through a treatment -- the
dreaded arsenic. Her muzzle turned white in one month as a result of
the poison to kill the heartworms.

Please let us know what the Holistic veterinarian uses in his treatment,
and what he suggests for a preventative. I use homeopathic nosodes, and
they do work. I live in the country, and more than one neighbor's dog
has gotten heartworms, so my dogs would be at risk, without the nosodes.
