I don't have the answers to your questions; but I do know that our 23 mos old male is still a puppy at heart! He doesn't even lift his leg yet! But at the same time he is a big boy when he has desires for his future mate of 5 mos. He reminds me of our kids when they were 13 years old-one minute they wanted to be treated like an adult and the next they want to be kids.
