GREECE4ANIMALS

Greece4Animals is a group especially designed to help neglected and abused animals in Greece. The Greek governments have miserably failed to provide adequate care for the thousands of cats and dogs that harvest the streets, dying from hunger and thirst, being kicked and tortured by psychopaths and being run over by careless drivers. Before the 2004 Olympics thousands of stray dogs were poisoned, hung and had glass mingled with raw meet as food so that an incompetent government and an evil mayor could brag and present the streets ‘clean and clear’. They failed to inform the Greek public about their dark, callous secret and that hundreds of protests were held outside the Greek embassies throughout the world. Greece was also taken to the EU court by the European Commission forits miserable lack of animal protection and welfare, and its standards being way below par with other European countries.

The purpose of this group is to inform and educate the Greek public, about what is going on in their own country and give them guidance and encouragement to change the situation. We hope to bring consciousness to the pet abandonment situation in Greece and educate the Greek public about spaying and neutering, the simple solution to avoid thousands of unwanted pets in the streets.

Activists throughout the world is warmly welcome to help us in protest to the Greek government so as to create laws to protect animal and help deal humanely with the thousands of homeless pets roaming the streets of Greece. Everyone's voice is very important to speak out against the barbarianism in Greece.
