Description

This site is for those who have taken responsibility for their own goat's and sheep's health. Holistic simply means to take into account the whole body, which includes the personality, environment, and lifestyle, of the goat, and not just treating the symptoms of an ailment. In most cases Allopathic and Holistic Medicine can and do work in harmony and both will be discussed here.Remember that there are no veterinarians on this list and the subjects discussed herein are suggestions only. A veterinarian is still the one person you need to see for the proper diagnosis of your goat's ailments, and illnesses. Goat Keeping, Care and First Aid will be the main topic of conversation however chit chat is encouraged. Old Wives Tales will be discussed and Quoting Old Farmers is encouraged. As always, think before reacting and the use of the ideas posted at this site are at your own risk. Some posts will have to be "taken with a grain of salt" but for the most part there are some great ideas in Natural Goat Care. This list is for all breeds of goats. Boer, Nubian, Alpine, Oberhasli, Kinder, Saanen, Nigerian Dwarf, Fainting, Pygmy, Angora, Cashmere, La Mancha, or LaMancha, Toggenburg, "high percentage" and any other breed or cross breed or scrub you can think of. This list is also for working, milk/milker/milking, meat, carting/cart, wagon, harness/harnessed goats. Packing/pack and packer goats. Pet goats, nuisance goats, behavior/behavioral challenged goats. This list is also for those breeding goats. Advise given and taken on this list are the sole responsibility of the readers digressions. Many of our members also have sheep.By joining this list you understand that you ALONE are responsible for your own goats health and welfare. List Owner and Moderators accept no responsibility of the posts at this site (we will filter out as much spam as we possibly can ;-), personal safety of goat or goat keepers or care given to the to the individual goats of goat owners
