WEST NILE VIRUS affects birds, horses,
dogs, humans.... and it's spreading.

WEST NILE VIRUS, EQUINE - USA (WYOMING)

West Nile Virus Reaches Wyoming - Confirmed in Goshen County
- ----------------------------------------------------------
LARAMIE:
State officials today confirmed the arrival of West Nile virus in Wyoming.

Following preliminary laboratory tests on a horse late Thu 15 Aug 2002,
confirmatory tests for the virus were returned positive on Friday morning.
This marks the first detection of the disease in the state.

Terry Creekmore, West Nile Virus (WNV) project coordinator for the Wyoming
Department of Health, said the horse, which has died of encephalitis, came
from eastern Goshen County near the Nebraska border. Samples were collected
on 8-9 Aug 2002 and taken to the Wyoming State Veterinary Lab in Laramie on
10 Aug 2002, Creekmore said.

State Health Officer Dr. Brent Sherard called the discovery significant,
although state health and veterinary officials had been expecting the
arrival of the disease for some time. "This is not a cause to panic," he
said. "We've been preparing for the arrival since last summer and we're
working at the state and local level to educate the public and providers to
protect the health of our citizens." Dr. Sherard emphasized that no human
cases have been reported in Wyoming and encouraged precautions such as
utilizing insect repellant and limiting standing water around homes to cut
down on mosquito breeding sites. Human vaccine for WNV is currently
unavailable.

Most people infected with West Nile virus do not become ill. People with a
mild infection may present with fever, headache, eye pain, muscle aches,
joint pain, a rash on the trunk, and/or swollen lymph nodes. The elderly
and people with compromised immune systems are at highest risk of
developing severe symptoms.

Dr. Todd Cornish, veterinary pathologist at the Wyoming State Veterinary
Laboratory, University of Wyoming said that clinical signs of WNV infection
in horses may include: ataxia (incoordination, stumbling, or staggering),
circling, weakness or paralysis of limbs, recumbency (inability to stand),
muscle fasciculation (small twitches or tremors), apparent blindness, lip
droop, grinding teeth, and death. He said that it is important to remember
that these signs are not specific for WNV infection, and may be caused by
other diseases including rabies, eastern and western equine encephalitis
virus infections, and equine herpesvirus-1 infection.

Consultation on WNV information and testing for horse owners and
veterinarians is available by calling Dr. Cornish at (307) 742-6638.

State Veterinarian Dr. Jim Logan reminded horse owners that a vaccine is
available for their animals if they contact their local veterinarian. In
order to be effective, 2 doses are required, recommended at 3 weeks apart.
Following the second dose, it will be about 2 weeks until the immunity
reaches protective levels. "People in the areas where West Nile has been
diagnosed -- and in all of Wyoming -- if they haven't vaccinated and they
are concerned should go ahead with vaccination," he said.

Up-to-date information on WNV can be found at:
<http://wdh.state.wy.us> and clicking on "West Nile Virus Information.

The CDC reports that this year WNV has reemerged in: Alabama, Arkansas,
Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky,
Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri,
New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania,
Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington DC, Wisconsin, and
the Canadian province of Ontario.

The CDC reports that this year WNV has been identified for the first time
in Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South
Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, West Virginia, Wyoming, and the Canadian
provinces of Quebec and Manitoba.

West Nile virus is a mosquito-transmitted disease that affects birds,
humans, and horses. It was first identified in the U.S. in New York City in
1999 and has since spread to 39 states, 3 provinces, and Washington D.C.
WNV is ultimately expected to spread to the entire country and in 2001 was
found as far west as Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana.

Over 700 horses in the U.S. were infected with WNV in 2001 and about 30
percent of those animals died from the disease. A WNV vaccine is currently
available for horses but a human vaccine has not been produced.

Purdue University and Hayward Foundation Study on Vaccines

"For 15 years, some Great Dane breeders have postulated the adverse
effects of the aggressive use of vaccines on the immature (puppy)
immune system. This concern led these breeders to a more conservative
approach to vaccinations, the monitoring of antibody titers before
boosters were given, or in some cases safe alternatives to conventional
practice were invoked."

"The study has produced some dramatic results, with concrete and clear
evidence that there are adverse events elicited as a result of the
use of vaccines following manufacturer's recommendations."

"In Dr. LaRosa's (Trustee of the Hayward Foundation) article (following),
he states that a number of autoantibodies to several critical proteins
and DNA were identified in the vaccinated group. Identifying these
autoimmune antibodies, and monitoring their titers may lead, in addition
to the thyroiditis conditions, a better understanding of the role of
vaccines in soliciting adverse events that contribute to problematic
conditions observed in the Great Dane, such as Cardiomyopathy, and
Various Bone related disorders."

Did you know that some rabies shots are Federally approved

Some vets question annual boosters Vaccinations
can have adverse effects, studies show

By Rhonda L. Rundle
THE WALL STREET JOURNAL

July 31 - After receiving a reminder in the mail from his veterinarian,
Jim Schwartz took his 11-year-old poodle, Moolah, for her annual rabies
shot. A few weeks later she fell ill and was diagnosed with an autoimmune
disease. As her suffering worsened, Mr. Schwartz put her down.

THERE'S NO PROOF that the rabies shot killed Moolah and Mr. Schwartz
didn't immediately suspect any link. But when the retired financial
planner learned that some veterinarians are vaccinating pets less
frequently because of possible fatal side effects, he was furious.
"No dog should have to go through what Moolah did," he says.

Evidence is building that annual vaccination of dogs and cats - performed
for diseases such as rabies, distemper and parvovirus - may not be
necessary and could even be harmful. Vaccines licensed by the U.S.
Department of Agriculture are tested to ensure they protect pets against
disease, usually for one year. But the tests don't detect long-term side
effects, or measure the duration of a vaccine's effectiveness. Recent and
continuing studies at several universities suggest that protection from
vaccines may last for years, which would make annual shots for some
diseases a waste of money - at the very least.

Fears of vaccine-induced diseases date back more than 40 years. But a
sharp increase during the past decade in cancerous tumors among cats,
between the shoulder blades where vaccines typically are injected, has
spurred studies. Some have found a higher-than-expected incidence of
side effects.

"We see health problems in dogs for which we have no explanation. The
classic one is autoimmune disease," says Larry Glickman, professor of
epidemiology at Purdue University's School of Veterinary Medicine in
West Lafayette, Ind., who is studying possible links with vaccinations.
"We see an epidemic of hyperthyroidism in cats today, and we suspect
that these are happening because we're over-vaccinating our pets."

ACCUMULATIONS ARE THE DANGER

Dr. Glickman and his colleagues theorize that repeated vaccination
causes dogs to produce antibodies against their own tissue.
The antibodies are caused by contaminants in the vaccine introduced in
the manufacturing process. While the amounts are minuscule, they
gradually accumulate with repeated vaccinations over the years. But Dr.
Glickman cautions that more research is needed before a clear link can
be established between antibody levels and autoimmune disease.

Vaccination recommendations for cats and dogs vary around the country.
Most states require rabies vaccinations every three years, while a
handful of states - as well as some individual cities and counties -
have mandated annual shots due to local problems with rabies in wild
animals. Some other vaccinations are given only when a pet's lifestyle
or environment exposes it to a particular risk, such as Lyme disease.

Pet diseases other than rabies aren't a threat to people, thus
vaccinations aren't required by law. But veterinarians and vaccine
makers have traditionally recommended annual booster shots against
potentially fatal diseases such as distemper and parvovirus in dogs
and herpesvirus in cats. In a policy statement last year, the American
Veterinary Medical Association acknowledged that the practice of annual
vaccinations is based on "historical precedent" and "not on scientific
data."

The emerging evidence of health risks is prompting some vets to change
their practices. "We're now doing 40% less vaccinations than five years
ago," says Kathleen Neuhoff, a veterinarian in Mishawaka, Ind., and
president of the American Animal Hospital Association, Lakewood, Colo.

FINANCIAL REASONS?

"My own pets are vaccinated once or twice as pups and kittens, then
never again except for rabies," Ronald D. Schultz, chairman of the
University of Wisconsin's Department of Pathobiological Sciences, wrote
in the March 1998 issue of Veterinary Medicine.

Some critics of annual shots accuse some vets of ignoring research
about vaccine risks for financial reasons. "Vets are afraid they will
go broke" without regular vaccines, which account for about 20% of
their practice income, says Bob Rogers, a Spring, Texas, veterinarian
and outspoken critic of current practices.

Other vets deny that financial motives are involved. ("No one who is
motivated by money would ever become a veterinarian," Dr. Neuhoff says.)
"The concern is that if we move too quickly to decrease vaccine
frequency across the board, we may be opening the door for some animals
to become infected when we could have prevented the problem," says Todd
R. Tams, chief medical officer of VCA Antech Inc., in Los Angeles, the
nation's largest owner of veterinary hospitals.

No one truly knows how long protection from vaccines lasts. Vaccine
makers say that proving their duration would be expensive and would
require large numbers of animals to be isolated for years.

One company, Pfizer Inc., decided to test its one-year rabies vaccine
on live animals and discovered it lasted for at least three years. It
sells the identical formula simply packaged under different labels -
Defensor 1 and Defensor 3 - to satisfy different state vaccination
requirements.

I use this spray on myself as well. The trick with this concoction is
finding a reasonable source for the essential oils.
One Gallon:
50/50 Generic amber mouthwash (I buy at the dollar store or Wal-Mart)
and apple cider vinegar (not Organic)
1 oz. citronella oil
.5 oz. lemon oil
.5 oz peppermint oil
.5 oz cedarwood oil
Sometimes I will throw in .5 oz's of either thyme or Eucalyptus oil
instead of the cedarwood oil.
You must shake this well prior to using as the oils settle on top.
I keep this stored in my horse trailer with no problem; even in the
Texas heat. Let me know what you think. Cathi >>

What is Valerian Root?
Valerian Root (Valerianea officianalis: Valerianae radix)
For what, and how is Valerian Root used?
The decoction, infusion, fluid extract and tincture of ground Valerian root
is used against restlessness, and sleeplessness, and is quite calming indeed.
Responsible for these effects is the essential oil containing the so-called
"valerenic acids" (monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes). This plant does not
contain valium, a myth probably perpetuated by those who are aware of its
similar sounding name and loosely similar effects. Valerian is actually
much safer than Valium.

2-3g in tea, once to several times a day, or equivalent extract.

Listed in German Commission E Monographs as sedative and sleep-promoting.
No contraindications.

===============================

Lynn, I was not aware of the potential of Valerian Root for curing AIDS,
but I've heard of its calming effects on dogs.

Although I have never tried it, I heard it was great for dogs that
stress out on rides (cars or airplanes) and was much safer than ace
promosone (?sp) which many breeders use to ship new puppies.

I have used the Bach Flower Rescue Remedy with great success when shipping
puppies. Several months ago, I shipped 3 littermates. I forgot to add
the RR to one puppy's water dish, and he was stressed and would not come
out of his crate at the airport... the other 2 littermates were calm and
"normal" as I remember them living in my home, when they arrived - having
gotten a "squirt" of the Rescue Remedy in the mouth before turning them
over to the airlines. (and puting a couple drops in their water dish).

I found the description of Valerian Root at health-pages.com by searching
through google.com I don't have time to go through each page listed (many
had error messages: page not found) but you can try searching any search-
engine with "valerian root" or "valerian root dogs" to see the many
benefits of this natural herb vs the allopathic drugs used to calm
stressed-out dogs.

DISCLAIMER: although I find and share sites that describe various
"holistic" alternatives to health care (instead of drugs, etc), I am
not able to vouch for the ethics or reliability of any of the companies
promoting their products. (unless I specifically indicate that I've
tried them)

Thanks, Lynn, for sharing your information about the herb.

Warmly, Joy LaCaille (back on webmail - no signature file and

Scientists: Herb may lead to AIDS cure

Yomiuri Shimbun

A group of researchers at Osaka University has discovered a substance
in the medicinal herb valerian that can inhibit the production of HIV
in humane immune cells by preventing the gene from leaving an infected
cell's nucleus, it was learned Saturday.

The researchers, led by Associate Prof. Nobutoshi Murakami, said the
mechanism is totally different from those of currently available AIDS
treatments, and could become an extra shaft in the quiver of AIDS
medication.

A single HIV particle works by infiltrating the nucleus of an immune
cell, or lymphocyte. It then splices its own DNA into that of the
lymphocyte's, effectively giving the immune cell new instructions to
reproduce viral proteins that are subsequently used to replicate a
new HIV particle.

Viral replication requires one of these viral proteins, Rev, to
dock onto the HIV's RNA. After docking, the combined molecule
leaves the lymphocyte nucleus and is delivered to other parts of
the cell that act as factories that make proteins that help HIV
survive.

The group focused on ways to block the process by which Rev
bonded to the delivery molecule.

They experimented with several substances including natural drugs,
and discovered a substance in valerian root that could interfere
with the binding of Rev to the delivery particle.

When they mixed HIV-infected lymphocytes with the substance in
test tubes, Rev and HIV RNA were unable to leave the cell nuclei,
and HIVs became unable to produce the proteins necessary to survive,
dying at the rate of 81 percent.

Current AIDS treatments use two strategies. They either inhibit
HIV genes from entering lymphocyte nuclei or hamper the production
of HIV protein. Such drugs can only delay the onset of AIDS symptoms,
and cannot completely cure the disease. There is also the risk of
HIV building up a resistance to them, or of adverse side effects.

"Since (the new) mechanism is different from those of conventional
drugs, it will possibly enhance treatment by complementing existing
treatments. It also will help overcome resistance and ease adverse
reactions," Murakami said.

"WASHINGTON (Reuters Health) -
A drop in sex hormones may increase the risk of a type of
bone cancer, according to results of a study conducted
in purebred rottweilers. The highly malignant bone cancer,
known as osteosarcoma, has noticeable similarities in both
humans and rottweilers, researchers at Purdue University
reported at a meeting of the Gerontological Society of America.

In a study of 745 purebred rottweilers, Dr. B. C. Beranek and
colleagues from the departments of veterinary clinical science
and veterinary pathology found that 15% of all the dogs developed
bone cancer. However, the risk of bone cancer was 65% higher for
castrated males and 34% higher for spayed females. The risk of
developing bone cancer was higher both in females spayed at less
than one year of age as well as males castrated when they were
less than a year old compared with animals who were not spayed
or neutered. It is not clear why spaying or neutering had an
impact on cancer risk, but it may be related to their lower
levels of sex hormones. More study is needed to determine if
these factors play any role in human cancer."

RE: FIREWORKS & DOGS

Most all of us know that dogs, fireworks and thunder do not work well together.
The 4th of July is fast approaching so we thought we would remind you of what
we do for frightened dogs whether it is caused by fireworks or thunder.

We use a natural herbal remedy called Anxieteze to help anxious dogs get
through these rough American summer days and nights. Anxieteze generously
placed in a dog's food and water for a few days before, during and after the
4th has been shown to greatly reduce a dog's stress level due to fireworks.
They are more able to cope without resorting to hiding under the bed or in
a closet and trembling in fear. What is fun for us is not very much fun for
some dogs. Mother Nature's herbs can sure help.

In the case of thunder, one can squirt 20 or so drops in your dog's mouth
whenever there is a serious thunder storm that is causing your dog great
anxiety. This has been shown to help in almost all cases especially for
really anxious dogs.

Let us know if we can help your dog keep its sanity while you are playing.

Bach Flower Crab Apple and Cherry Plum have been
recommended for obsessive cleaning (ie: licking/chewing)

Crab Apple for the overwhelming desire for cleanliness
and obsessive behaviour
Cherry Plum for the inability to stop an activity often
carrying on until damage is done.

This could also be used when there is a physical problem
irritation, infection, hotspots when the skin is itchy or
irritated and the animal scratches or licks continuously
for relief.

Take a 30ml dropper bottle (available from chemist/pharmacy)
about 1oz - Add 2 drops of each of the remedies and top up
with water. use bottled spring water or distilled water,
not city-fluorinated tapwater.

Give 4 drops at least 4 times a day.
You can also add 4 drops to the water bowl and
add more drops every time you change the water.

If you cannot administer the drops you can add to food
but just put a small amount of food so you know all the
drops have been taken.

You could also add 4 drops to a cup of water and give
a spoonful several times a day.
But it is best if you can give the 4 drops - 4 times a day.

If there is a sore etc remember Rescue Cream contains Crab Apple
and can be applied as any topical cream and can be very helpful.
You can also bathe the area. Add a few drops of Crab Apple to a
small bowl of water and bathe the affected area.

Store the treatment bottle in the fridge.

Actually there is another remedy which might be considered here
and that's White Chestnut which is helpful for obsessive behavious,
restlessness. It can be used as a helper remedy for an animal
who is restless, distracted etc.

Here is a list of the 38 The Bach Flower Remedies and their indications.

Seeds of Disaster
An article by The Prince of Wales
The Daily Telegraph, June 8, 1998

Summary
HRH the Prince of Wales, who farms organically,
says the genetic modification of crops is
taking mankind into realms that belong to God,
and God alone.

I have always believed that agriculture should
proceed in harmony with nature, recognising that
there are natural limits to our ambitions. That
is why, some 12 years ago, I decided to farm
organically - without artificial pesticides or
fertilisers. From my own experience I am clear
that the organic system can be economically viable,
that it provides a wide range of environmental and
social benefits, and, most importantly, that it
enables consumers to make a choice about the food they eat.

But at a time when sales of organic food are soaring, a development in
intensive agriculture is actually removing a fundamental choice about the
food we eat, and raising crucial questions about the future of our food and
of our environment which are still to be answered. Genetically modified (GM)
crops are presented as an essentially straightforward development that will
increase yields through techniques which are merely an extension of
traditional methods of plant breeding. I am afraid I cannot accept this.

The fundamental difference between traditional and genetically modified plant
breeding is that, in the latter, genetic material from one species of plant,
bacteria, virus, animal or fish is literally inserted into another species,
with which they could never naturally breed. The use of these techniques
raises, it seems to me, crucial ethical and practical considerations.

I happen to believe that this kind of genetic modification takes mankind into
realms that belong to God, and to God alone. Apart from certain highly
beneficial and specific medical applications, do we have the right to experiment
with, and commercialise, the building blocks of life? We live in an age of
rights - it seems to me that it is time our Creator had some rights too.

We simply do not know the long-term consequences for human health and the wider
environment of releasing plants bred in this way. We are assured that these new
plants are vigorously tested and regulated, but the evaluation procedure seems
to presume that unless a GM crop can be shown to be unsafe, there is no reason
to stop its use. The lesson of BSE and other entirely man-made disasters in the
cause of 'cheap food' is surely that it is the unforeseen consequences which
present the greatest cause for concern.

We are told that GM crops will require less use of agro-chemicals. Even if this
is true, it is certainly not the whole story. What it fails to take into account
is the total ecological and social impact of the farming system. For example,
most of the GM plants marketed so far contain genes from bacteria which make
them resistant to a broad spectrum weedkiller available from the same
manufacturer. When the crop is sprayed with this weedkiller, every other plant
in the field is killed. The result is an essentially sterile field, providing
neither food nor habitat for wildlife.

These GM crop plants are capable of interbreeding with their wild relatives,
creating new weeds with built-in resistance to the weedkiller, and of
contaminating other crops. Modified genes from a crop of GM rape were found to
have spread into a conventional crop more than a mile away. The result is that
both conventional and organic crops are under threat, and the threat is one-way.

GM crop plants are also being developed to produce their own pesticide. This is
predicted to cause the rapid appearance of resistant insects. Worse still, such
pesticide-producing plants have already been shown to kill some beneficial
predator insects as well as pests. To give just two examples, inserting a gene
from a snowdrop into a potato made the potato resistant to greenfly, but also
killed the ladybirds feeding on the greenfly. And lacewings, a natural predator
of the corn borer and food for farmland birds, died when fed on pest insects
raised on GM maize.

Despite the vast acreages which are likely to be involved, there is no official
requirement to monitor genetically modified commercial crops to see exactly
what is happening. Think of the agricultural disasters of the past which have
stemmed from over-reliance on a single variety of a crop, yet this is exactly
what genetic modification will encourage. It is entirely possible that within
ten years virtually all of the world's production of staple crops, such as
soya, maize, wheat and rice, will be from a few GM varieties, unless consumer
pressure dictates otherwise.

English Nature and other official bodies have sounded warnings about the
potentially damaging consequences for the environment of introducing
GM crops on a wide scale. They have called for a moratorium on the use
of at least one of these crops.

Once genetic material has been released into the environment it cannot be
recalled. The likelihood of a major problem may, as some people suggest, be
slight, but if something does go badly wrong we will be faced with the problem
of clearing up a kind of pollution which is self-perpetuating. I am not
convinced that anyone has the first idea of how this could be done,
or indeed who would have to pay.

We are also told that GM techniques will help to 'feed the world'. This is
a fundamental concern to all of us. But will the companies controlling these
techniques ever be able to achieve what they would regard as a sufficient
return from selling their products to the world's poorest people? Nor do I
believe that the basic problem is always so simple. Where the problem is
lack of food, rather than lack of money to buy food, there may be better ways
of achieving the same ends. Recent research has shown, for example, that
yields from some traditional farming systems can be doubled, and even trebled,
through techniques that conserve natural resources while making the best use
of labour and management skills.

Do we need to use GM techniques at all? Technology has brought massive benefits
to mankind, but there is a danger, especially in areas as sensitive as food,
health and the long-term future of our environment, in putting all our efforts
into establishing what is technically possible without first stopping to ask
whether this is something we should be doing. I believe we should stop and ask
that question, through a wide public debate of the issues of principle which
cannot be addressed effectively through science and regulation alone. Is it not
better to examine first what we actually want from agriculture in terms of food
supply and security, rural employment, environmental protection and landscape,
before we go on to look at the part genetic modification might, perhaps, play
in achieving those aims?

Obviously, we all have to make up our own minds about these important issues.
I personally have no wish to eat anything produced by genetic modification,
nor do I knowingly offer this sort of produce to my family or guests. There is
increasing evidence that a great many people feel the same way. But if this is
becoming a widely-held view, we cannot put our principles into practice until
there is effective segregation of genetically modified products, backed by a
comprehensive labelling scheme based on progress through the food chain.

Arguments that this is either impossible or irrelevant are simply not credible.
When consumers can make an informed choice about whether or not they eat
products containing genetically modified ingredients they will be able to send
a direct and unmistakable message about their preferences.
I hope that manufacturers, retailers and regulators will be ready to take
on the responsibility to ensure that this can happen.

Could the diet that you've been feeding your dog

have to watch them develop symptoms of arthritis,

Date: Mon, 17 Jun 2002

Please feel free to print this information on
soy and spread the word to everyone you know.

Fasten your seatbelt, and hang on -
this is going to be a bumpy read!
You are going to be exposed to ideas
that refute the propaganda the "experts"
have been spewing for decades. They have
used us as dupes and guinea pigs.

<snip - an 8-page 29KB text file>

This information on the dangers of soy is contained in the first
chapter of Take Control of Your Health and Escape the Sickness Industry.
Please share this with as many people as you can - it is our only weapon
against the multinational corporations who are trying to kill us in the
name of profit. To purchase, please visit: http://www.doctorsaredangerous.com
or phone: Ph: +61 7 5530 2939 Fax: +61 7 5569 0884

[Moderator note: Lynn's LONG post is a "keeper file" and rather than duplicate
it here and in the files section (doubling the size of archived information)
I created a textfile for those who want to read the long but excellent article:

Industry" - by Raymond Peat, MA, PhD

My dogs had their veggies, a little leftover rice
from last night with a little bacon in it and
their rough ground Rocky the Range chicken
(including the bones) with a beef heart.
No supplements at night.

Hi, everyone.
Welcome to the Holistic_GP maillist.

The main purpose of this maillist is to share information about whole food
nutrition (also known as the B.A.R.F. diet - bones and raw food - on many
other healthy-dog maillists), and alternative methods of healthcare that are
more gentle to the dogs' or cats' immune systems than steroids, drugs and shots.

The maillist is moderated, only to stop spam from outsiders and unfortunate
attachments of viruses (attachments will be deleted by yahoogroups before
we can see it, so copy/paste information into the body of the messages.
Do not try to attach any files)

There are no "ground-rules" except
1) be courteous and helpful to each other.
2) No "flaming" others for having a different opinion about their
methods of feeding or medical care.

If you use or sell a food, supplement, or health-product, please do not
"PUSH" your business, however, you may introduce yourself as a distributor
or producer of ______, and give the benefits that you have seen on your
animals, by using it.

Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/holistic_gp/messages

The FILES and Bookmarks features of the yahoogroups maillist will be
utilized, as we share text and other URLs (websites) on health/nutrition.

Files: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/holistic_gp/files

There is one folder, to start, called "Diet"
It has one file, " sample-BARF-diet.txt "
Basic foods we need to feed to our dogs and cats
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/holistic_gp/files/Diet/sample-BARF-diet.txt

Bookmarks: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/holistic_gp/links

The first one is
http://www.geocities.com/holistic_gp/

Eight Sub-topic pages with many links include:
	 Alternative and Holistic Healthcare
BARF vs Dog Food & Nutritional Articles
BOOKS on Health & Alternative Healing
	 General Health & First Aid
	 Genetic Health and Testing
	 Healthy Products & Supplelments
	 Vaccinations & Disease
	 Veterinarians & Vet Hospitals

If you know of other "healthy" websites, please let us know, and we will
either add them to the maillist Bookmarks link or add the to the appropriate
category at http://www.geocities.com/holistic_gp/

It's 7:00pm. I'm going to give my dogs a bone - a RAW chicken back.
They had beef-meat and their veggies & supplements, this morning.

What is your dog getting for dinner? ;=))
