Subject: Hauling Available Beginning of October -- $300 for TWO horses

We are delivering a load of horses to AZ from SD at the beginning of
October and have an empty trailer on the way back.

We will have room from Snowflake, AZ --> Tucson, AZ --> New Mexico --
> Nebraska --> SD

**Please note that we are unable to alter our course, but are able to
meet somewhere along our scheduled route to pickup your horse(s)***

The cost is $300 for one or two horses, and $100/head for each
additional horse you would like hauled. We have room for about 10
horses as of right now.

Your horses will be handled by knowledgable horse people that have
been raising, training and transporting horses for over 30 years. We
feed and water every 4 hours when we stop to rest. We do ask that you
provide enough hay for your horses for the length of the trip, or the
cost of one bale of hay per horse ($10).

Please note that we are not a commercial hauler, and this is why we
can offer such a deep discount on transportation. We figured since we
have the room, we might as well offer it to those of you that are in
need. Horse people helping horse people -- the way it should be. :)
We do not haul for other people on a regular basis, and other than
this specific load, will be unable to help you with your future
hauling needs.

please share with anyone at all.  i saw this on the news last night.

if you pay at the pump with your debit card, many gas stations will encumber your bank account for $50 in addition to whatever you actually pay for the gas.  they say this is to
protect the gas station from drive-offs.  the $50 will just be pending and will drop off in the
night, but if you do not have enough money in your account to cover that extra $50, you will end up with an overdraft fee EVEN THOUGH THE $50 DROPS OFF.

instead, pay inside rather than at the pump.

be warned.

My purse was stolen from my van yesterday during a transport. The man
approached in his car & asked if we were "selling puppies"; I said no
and explained briefly about transports. I walked away to continue
transferring the pups. He walked up beside my van, reached in &
grabbed my purse from the front seat. He had left his car running,
pointed toward the exit, so he was on the highway in seconds.

It occurs to me now that transport exchange spots are the perfect
place for robberies- lots of women, lots of purses, lots of
distractions, because we're focused on the dogs. This happened during
daylight, with 6 transport cars present. I've had people stop
previously to ask what we were doing, so I didn't think it was
unusual.

So, please be very careful, especially at popular transport exchange
spots. This happened at exit 83B, the Holiday Inn on Parham Rd in
Richmond , VA , but it could happen anywhere. The guy was white, had
brown hair, in his 30s, in a long silver or light colored 4 door car.
Wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses, shorts & tshirt. The license plate
was registered to someone else, so that didn't help in identifying
him.

He could have also stolen a dog or puppy like this, which would have
been a million times worse.

Heads up, fellow drivers, and please pass the word. Leave your purses
at home or lock them in your trunk and don't take your eyes off anyone
who stops to ask questions. (Especially don't let them approach your
vehicle.)

                   ****PERMISSION TO CROSSPOST****

Assistance is needed to transport SPORT, a 9 year old neutered male
Brittany, from his temporary foster home in Phoenix, AZ to his new
ABR-approved foster home in Morgan Hill, CA!

This transport is requested by American Brittany Rescue. (

If you are able to help with this transport please email directly to ruttm
@ hemming.com (remove spaces) or call (415) 999-5044.

Begin: Phoenix, AZ
End: Morgan Hill, CA
Age: 9 years
Gender: M
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Size/Weight: 60 lbs.
Color: Orange/white
Shots/Rabies UTD: Yes
General Temperament: Sweet, loving older boy. Sport’s a big Brittany at
60 lbs. He gets along well with other dogs and people and loves to be
petted, and rides nicely in the car. Sport was abandoned by his owners and
found by a neighbor who got him into the care of a private rescuer.
Any special needs: Sport has a lump on his side that the vet determined is
just a fatty cyst. Sport needs to be moved right away because the other
dogs are picking on him. They got into a scuffle with Sport, and he has a
cut on his hindquarter and some scrapes from this, so the vet put him on
antibiotics for 10 days and also gave him some pain medication for a few
days. Sport seems to be doing fine except that he is favoring that hind
leg, but he’s healing just fine and is ready to go.
Items Provided: Leash, collar, vet records, antibiotics and pain
medication
Crate: Optional, not needed, not provided
Reason for Transport: Moving from his temporary foster home to his
ABR-screened and approved foster home

Hello Group Members,

To all of you that offered your assistance, allowed this email to
post to your boards, or joined in the fun, I'd like to thank you for
your help and/or response to the original email. Thanks to you, we were
successful in getting 4 of the 9 dogs moved over the holiday weekend.
I've revised the original listing below so you can see who we got moved
and who has yet to travel.

I hope you and yours had a wonderful holiday weekend with lots of
turkey, ham, etc. and all the family love you could stand!

Hello group members,

List owners, I apologize in advance if this is not permitted on your
group. I'm just trying to get the word out about MoStar's need for
drivers over the holiday weekend. If your group is moderated and you
choose not to allow the post through, we completely understand.

We have dogs all over the place needing transport assistance. It has
been our experience that transport on holiday weekends is difficult to
fill. This puzzles me a bit since folks are generally driving to meet
with family for the holidays and could take a dog(s) along for the ride
- usually for a very large distance.

Below are the From/To locations of the dogs that MoStar has been asked
to transport. If you are traveling this weekend and can spare a little
room for a furry butt or two, please email me directly at:
mostartransports @ yahoo.com (remove spaces)

Also, we may be needing overnight accomodations if we have drivers that
can help part way. If you have room with all the family activities to
take in a weary traveler for a day or two, please email us as well.

Pooch Smooches~

Patti
