The Indiana Pet Rescue newsgroup is intended for use by individuals and organizations involved in saving the lives of homeless pets across Indiana and communities bordering the state. While most members live in or near Indiana, we welcome participants from far away as well.

Among the most frequent topics and activities, group members will be helping each other rescue pets, transport, find suitable housing, and discussing how to educate the public to become more responsible pet owners so that we can reduce the homeless/stray population. Euthanization rates across the country remain needlessly high, and will only come down with advocacy and action.

All we ask of those who wish to join is that they be pet lovers and willing to help out where and when they can. If you have a heart for dogs, cats, and any pet found in shelters, please feel free to join in.

Please note: While some of our members will be active in animal rights, we ask that you please do not post mass-produced cross-posted emails about animal topics unrelated to pets. You are, however, welcome to encourage
people to join such lists individually.
