Re: Andi's reprieve/Karen

>>>I understand what you are saying.  Maybe it's because that walk is sooo
different from what I call his Paso walk that I'm seeing short, choppy strides
in that video. I also felt him so much more relaxed in that video as opposed to
how he feels when he does his Paso walk.  Maybe what I see as his relaxed walk
is not as relaxed as it should be, but it was a 200% improvement from his Paso
walk.

That's a very valid statement. Obviously, I can't tell what he's
conformationally capable of, but you said it well: that what you see as a
relaxed walk, may indeed be "more relaxed" than he's been lately, but it still
doesn't look nearly as relaxed as it should IMO. It's good that it's better,
and that's something to be very happy about, but maybe he's just not quite
"there" yet with his walk....? For who knows what reason...?

>>> What I see in the finding the treat video is when he stops, his left hind
leg comes forward under him.  What could that mean?

I am working today, so I haven't re-evaluated all the videos. I'll look for
that one tonight. Is his left leg coming up under him more, or is his right one
trailing out more? That's a subtle distinction, but one that could be
significant. Sina has one rear leg that she tends to trail behind... and she
has had a bit of weakness in that stifle. It's not bad, and it's certainly not
crippling for her, but I know to take it easy when she's been out of shape for a
while. She needs time to build strength after any layoff, lots of walking, etc.

I noticed the foot thing too susan. Sometimes I thought it odd but then I wondered if it was a good good sign, putting his foot up relaxed? Of all the videos...
