PLEASE BE PATIENT, WE ARE CURRENTLY BUILDING OUR GROUP BY INVITING MORE SHELTERS AT THIS TIME. IF YOU WOULD LIKE US TO INVITE A PARTICULAR SHELTER OR RESCUE, PLEASE LET A MODERATOR KNOW.

This list is for Animal Rescues who help Shelter animals (dogs, cats, rabbits, etc) and Shelters located within INDIANA ONLY. If you are not located in Indiana, but still assist shelters located here, we will happily have you on our list.

This list is to bring together a list of shelters and rescues that can work together to save animals in our Indiana shelters. All rescues wanting to join must provide references prior to approval. We hope to verify rescues ahead of time so that shelter personnel on our group feels comfortable with whom they are dealing with.

We consider rescue ethical that does:
Home Visits
Reference and Vet Checks
Spaying and Neutering and all medical done prior to adoption

Sadly we realize that in our state of Indiana there are rescues which are not reputable and give other good rescues a bad name in the public eye. Our goal is to have a forum here which Shelters feel comfortable in seeking out rescues for their shelter animals by having a place to come to which has reputable rescues on the forum.

Things allowed to be posted to the group:
*Animals in INDIANA needing rescue from a shelter or situation.
*Transport in or going thru INDIANA.
*Donations needed for an animal located in INDIANA, shelter or rescue.
*Anything related to animals where someone needs advice from the group.
*DNA or DNR Information.
*Lost or Found Indiana ONLY
*Questions about rescues i.e. to see if someone knows them or can vouch for them.

Things NOT allowed to be posted to the group:
*Posts which involve other animals from other states. If you feel it is dire (special circumstance)in need, we will make exceptions if previously approved by a moderator before posting information.
*No bashing, flaming or nasty talk allowed, you will be removed for this!
