The publication of scientific and informed popular literature in the field of herpetology. The provision of herpetofaunal data to institutions such as Zoo's, Museums, Universities and Wildlife Management Authorities, as well as the opportunity of sharing knowledge in an area of natural science. The encouragement of responsible captive propagation, and the promotion of public education and understanding of Australian native reptiles and amphibians.
