We have a very large reward out for our lost dog. It's a female
Tan/White. Basenji/Chihuahua mix. Someone might think she's a Shepard
mix. She is medium in size, about 35 lbs. She has been missing since
March 5, 2005. She has large ears and a tail that curls. She was
lost in Burbank, last seen near the wash at Peyton and Winona in
Burbank. I believe she is probably wandering in the LA River/Wash.
Anyone with any information about this dog, please call 818) 645-
4751. Her family miss's her very much..
Found Tuesday 8/2/05 in West Hawthorne at 138th St & La Cienega.
According to other people in the neighborhood, the dog had been
wandering the area for a couple of days and no one was able to catch
it. Apparently, the dog was sleeping under cars at night, but would
often be found sitting or standing in the middle of the street. After
luring the dog with some treats, I have it in my yard and am feeding
and providing water. The dog appears to be in relatively good health,
but I can't be sure of the age. It seems to be a cockapoo-terrier
mix, much like "Benji". Please call 310-947-7750 to ID or email
riceball99@.... Please provide a photo if possible. Thanks.
My 3-month-old Staffie puppy was taken through the sunroof of my car
late on July 28th from the parking lot behind Akbar/The Kitchen at
Sunset & Fountain in the Silver Lake part of Los Angeles. She is
brown with white feet, tail tip and face. She has a brown spot
covering her left eye and ear. Any information leading to her safe
return will be rewarded. A photo of Lola is posted in the Photos section.
Thanks, Andrew
$500 REWARD for return or information leading to the return of pet. NO
QUESTIONS ASKED! Missing since 7/25/05 11pm from a gated neightborhood
off Turnbull Canyon on the hills of Hacienda Heights, CA. Most likely
taken by non-authorized people who got into the gate driving a dark
gold/tan colored sedan.
Description: Black pure bred Mini Doberman Pinscher with brown
markings. Male, neutered. Big ears and long tail. Some people think he
looks like a Chihuahua. About 1 foot and 9 inches tall, 11 lbs. Last
seen wearing a black spike collar and a bone-shaped dog tag.
He is a beloved family member and means the world to me. Please help me
find him! Please visit
http://members.aol.com/iambubble/scrappy_missing.html for photos and
more info. Thank you very much!
We found a very small male Chihuahua at a Campground in Lake Isabella,
CA. He is tan or gold and white, appx. 5 years and a very cute little
dog. There were no houses near the campground, so the dog was brought
and left there by someone. See picture in photos under "chihuahua".
Please cross post. Thank you.
I've attached photos of this dog in the photos section of the yahoo groups
page... under alfie1, and alfie2.
Please pass along the word.
Thank you.

Saw injured dog. Chocolate pit. Beautiful fit dog. Looks to be female.
Limping badly. Would not take food or let me get near. Wearing blue
collar but
I could not see any tags. On Jefferson at Vermont but ran east into
dorm area.
Maybe if anyone is near Bark Ave they can look. I will take to vet and
pay.
I am very happy to say that my lost Malamute that I reported today, Sitka, has been found! She was about 5 miles from where she ran off Friday night. I will be driving back to Arizona this weekend to get her back, but she is safe now and apparently none the worse for wear.

Lost Great Dane/Mastiff X-breed puppy, named Shakespeare(Shakes). He
was lost in the area of Roycroft and 7th street of Long Beach, CA.
(sorry, going on nearly 3 days with no sleep, so I am not sure where
this is based out of). He is about forty or so pounds, a brindle color
(a bad fifties upolstry mix of brown and black)with a dane-like build
and mastiff ears. He is still a baby at 4 months old, and only weighs
about 40lbs right now. A very timid dog, likes to hide under bushes
and other dark places where he feels safe. Friendly to people and
other dogs. Last seen by me on noon of sunday, July 10th, though
people have claimed to have seen him as late as Monday morning.
Anyone with any information is welcome to call me at 562-714-2933 or
email me at twusmc@..., or call the adoption agency that we got
him from, at 310-674-0477, they are called the paw'd squad.

welcome.

Someone saw GS running around Griffith area on 7/11, around 3:00 p.m.
Tried to catch it, but no luck. Northeast shelter was called. Dog
may be at shelter. Dog looked exhausted & scared. Tried to fun onto
freeway onramp. Please spread the word.
Hi all,
This past Friday evening my young female Malamute ran after some elk
as I was bringing her back to the cabin (Spring Valley cabin). I have
searched the area and locals are looking, but nobody has seen her yet.
I have contacted the shelter, the animal control officers, local law
enforcement, and the area veterinarians. She is black and white with
something like a skunk stripe down her back. She has longer fur, about
65 pounds. She is very friendly toward people and other dogs. Nobody
has seen her.
Any info would be greatly appreciated, and please pass the word on to
anyone in that area. She may have wandered for quite some distance.

There is a loose German Shepherd in the Griffith Park area, right across the L.A. Zoo parking lot at about the 3 mile mark. I pulled over to try to capture him/her, but didn't have any luck. He/she began to run on the freeway on ramp, but I veered him/her back into the park area. I contacted the North Central Animal Shelter, and they said they were sending out an alert for that area... Not sure if they followed through or not with sending someone out. I tried for over an hour, then lost him/her... I couldn't find him/her. If you know of anyone in this area that lost a dog, please alert them that I saw a German Shepherd in this area. He/she looked pretty skinny and fatigued... it's super hot in the area. I really wish I couldn't caught him/her, but it's almost impossible with one person... and when the dog is frightened.
So hopefully the animal shelter had luck, and he'll/she'll be safe for her owner to find.
Please pass along the word.
Thanks,
Tasya Abe

"Meadow" went missing on 4th of July in Warner Center Park in Woodland Hills area. The fireworks scared her off, and we have been looking for her. She has a tan body, short hair, short legs like Corgi, but has black/tan on her face and looks like a Shepard. She is about 7 years old, 35 lbs., and is generally a fairly calm dog. We have looked in all the shelters, posted signs up in the area, and placed ads in the local papers, but nothing has turned up yet. I assume someone has her and is either not intending to return her, or just doesn't know what to do with the dog. She is a lover by nature, so perhaps someone is keeping her as their own. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have no news for you regarding your found dog except to wish you luck.
We had a similar experience: a really great dog found us on June 23rd.
He was microchipped; the owners were eventually located and the dog was
returned. The Burbank Animal Shelter played a big role in finding the
owners who where away vacationing when their dog escaped from its
sitter. A long story, but without the help of the Burbank shelter, we
would not have been able to locate the dog's owner.
Good luck to you.

I found a dog on Melrose and Poinsettia on Friday July 8th about three
or so in the afternoon. I am not the most breed savvy but he is a
medium sized dog with reddish orange, long hair. Very clean and sweet
and obviously belongs to someone. I have posted flyers with a picture
throughout the neighborhood but nothing yet. Please feel free to use
my phone number if you lost him or have any info. Thanks,

Thank you - actually, Lola was found today! A woman
was able to catch her (after chasing her around for an
hour) - she's home, safe and sound - thanks to the
kindness of strangers! Just thought I'd share the good
news!

Subject: [K9Alert] Lost German Shepherd Mix
I lost my 3 year old German Shephard mutt on Saturday
in Redondo Beach
- she was last spotted around Torrance and the PCH.
Lola weighs about 60lbs, has the colorings of a german
shepherd and
should be wearing a black collar with a red-heart tag
that has her
name and my phone numbers on it.
I think she ran out because the fireworks scared her
and I am afraid
that they may have disoriented her.
She is friendly, but is usually scared of men, so
she'll probably
respond best to women.
Any leads you can give me are greatly appreciated.

'Oliver' was found wandering the streets of the Wilshire District in
Los Angeles several months ago. He was flea infested and had
infections in both ears. He is approximately 7 - 8 years old and 95
lbs. He is a sweet, wonderful boy. He's fully house broken, doesn't
get on furniture and loves other dogs. He's uninterested in cats and
is good with kids. He has hip problems but gets around perfectly
well. Please pass this on to anyone you know who might want to adopt
him. At this point I'm not hopeful of finding his owner and think that
he was purposefully put out. He deserves so much better than that!

Be sure to check with ALL the animal shelters in your area. I
live in LA, but a lost dog I took in (and he slipped away again) got
reunited with his owners via the good detective work of the Burbank
Animal Shelter. It's a rather long story; the bottom line is certain
of the shelters do a super job finding both rightful owners of lost
dogs, and new homes for unclaimed, lost dogs. The Burbank shelter
doesn't euthanize strays.

I am hoping someone out there can help me find my baby. She is a 3 yr
old Brindle & White boxer. She has been spayed. Last seen on
6/24/2005 at Haven/Manzanita in Rancho Cucamonga. She was wearing a
green collar with silver tags on it. If you have any info pls call

On June 23rd, a lost dog approached me in fron of my home in Los
Feliz. I still have him, but I must find a home for him soon, as my
other dog hates him. Two major fights. He is a year old yellow
lab/pit bull mix, with the sweetest disposition you can imagine.
Housebroken, neutered and with all his shots. He loves to play, loves
people and is totally house broken. Any help in finding his owner
will be appreciated.
