Mission Statement - K9KIDNEYS: The K9KIDNEYS list is a high volume list for owners of dogs suffering from one or more forms of kidney disorders, ie. Canine Kidney Disease, Renal Failure, Juvenile Renal Dysplasia (JRD)... The structural emphasis will revolve around current veterinary therapy models, feeding models and other necessary “tips and tricks” in the management of the renal dog. It is designed to be a comforting and supportive environment. It is expected that while differences of opinion will occur, list members will treat each other with the utmost of respect and dignity. No question is too basic. We do not allow advertising or forwarded messages from other lists. Renal disorders can be complicated and difficult to treat. We are not veterinarians and we strongly encourage you to work alongside your vets in the treatment of your dogs. Our site should not be a substitution for veterinary care.

Once you have applied, we REQUIRE that you fill out our simple introductory questionnaire. This questionnaire is the 2nd/final step in our application process and we ask that you complete and return this to us within 7 days. If this questionnaire is not returned, your application may be denied. We do NOT approve memberships based only on the comments filled out in your first application. Please check the email account you join from frequently to be sure you get the questionnaire and return it within 7 days. Please understand this is a closed list and requires approval to join. We do not ever share your information.
